I've never been able to confirm it but I'm 90% sure that game is based on Links for DOS/Windows. You could hit the ball in the parking lot in it and it was exactly as depicted in that episode, as too much of a formal sim for kids to enjoy.

I like how they included a driver and power drive in a putting game. Honestly, that's good game design. Good games let you do really stupid things you should not be doing.
