Journalist Whitney Webb reveals how U.S. intelligence agencies maintain close ties with leading tech companies—including Google, Palantir and Oracle—turning regular people into easy targets for digital surveillance and blackmail. According to Webb, many of these tech giants were born in the shadows of CIA projects, transforming government surveillance technologies...

Whitney Webb just said the quiet part out loud. Flock cameras are only one part of a “constellation” of surveillance tech. “They can really spy on you … now from space.” “You can’t cut those down.” “This is getting extremely dire.” “The surveillance state has expanded so much.” “Flock cameras are bad.” “But they are one of a constellation … of companies.” “They are private companies.” “But they are totally in bed with the national security apparatus.” And that national security apparatus is quickly moving into something worse than just surveillance. They’re using surveillance tech to build an AI-powered “predictive” crime apparatus. “That type of power is weaponized to curb and target dissent.” “If you’re moving to a paradigm where you can target dissent before it happens, that’s terrible.” “What we’re talking about here with the Merlin constellation and Satellogic and Palantir is literally what you’re worried about with Flock in space.” Mark Goodwin: “In April 2022, the first Edge AI-enabled satellite in space was launched by Satellogic and Palantir with assistance from SpaceX.” Webb: “This is about predictive stuff.” “It’s about what an algorithm thinks you may do in the future.” “Or, like, you were at this place where a crime happened … so the algorithm is like, people associated with this hotspot could also be criminals.” “It’s totally insane.” Whitney Webb markgoodw.in

Whitney Webb just exposed the truth about Palantir’s origins. It was created to privatize mass surveillance. “Don’t tell me this is a conspiracy theory.” “Alex Karp admitted that the CIA was always the intended client of Palantir.” Webb and Mark Goodwin just broke down the truth about Palantir’s origins: After 9/11, DARPA launched the Information Awareness Office to develop a government mass surveillance apparatus. Reagan-era National Security Advisor John Poindexter led the new IAO. After massive public scrutiny and backlash, Congress defunded it. But the program never really shut down. It was moved into the private sector with the help of Peter Thiel and Alex Karp. Webb: “Peter Thiel comes, fresh off of selling PayPal … he’s got all this money, and he’s like: I’m gonna make this company called Palantir.” “Palantir … had really started off as the anti-fraud algorithm at PayPal.” “When PayPal was being created, Max Levchin sort of gave it away.” Goodwin revealed that Max Levchin essentially admitted in an interview at the time: “When I was developing all the anti-fraud stuff at PayPal, I was working with every three and four letter agency that I could.” “Meaning the CIA, and the DOD, and DARPA.” “They form PayPal in the late ‘90s.” “They make a bunch of money, and it’s Thiel and Levchin, admittedly working with the CIA and NSA, while developing this anti-fraud stuff.” “He takes that anti-fraud algorithm, which was built with the CIA in the private sector, and then rebrands it as Palantir.” Webb: “As they’re setting it up, they go through Richard Perle, who was involved with the Bush-era Department of Defense, and I believe the Office of Special Plans.” “He’s approached by Peter Thiel and Alex Karp.” “They’re basically like: we want to talk to John Poindexter, because what he was trying to do is what we want to do.” “They go and meet with Poindexter, who becomes named basically the godfather of modern surveillance because of this.” “He advises them on how to create Palantir.” “And then Palantir gets in bed pretty much right away with the CIA.” “They were their first and only client for their first six years.” Whitney Webb markgoodw.in

WHITNEY WEBB on the military now "realizing [its] initial dream for the internet" "LifeLog [has become] Facebook" "Total Information Awareness [has become] Palantir" "we're coming... close to the end game" "A lot of these 'Big Tech'... companies are just masquerading... [they] were created by military intelligence" "I think it's important to keep in mind too that even going beyond Palantir, the Internet itself was created by the military" "And... now we're coming kind of close to the end game in terms of full circle of them kind of realizing their initial dream for the Internet" This clip of Webb (Whitney Webb), author of One Nation Under Blackmail and contributing editor of unlimitedhangout(.)com, is taken from a discussion with Ryan Cristian, Hrvoje Morić, et al. posted to the Corbett Report YouTube channel on May 29, 2026. ---------------Partial transcription of clip---------------- "I mean, I remember stories 10 years ago about massive NSA data centers in like Utah and various states before people were even talking about data centers, about all the information they've been compiling on people. "And I think it's important to keep in mind too that even going beyond Palantir, the Internet itself was created by the military. And I think now we're coming kind of close to the end game in terms of full circle of them kind of realizing their initial dream for the Internet. "And then, you know, in the case of Palantir, you know, I argue, and a lot of my research points to various efforts within the DARPA military sphere aimed at the Internet being privatized. For example, LifeLog becoming Facebook, Total Information Awareness becoming Palantir. You know, these have become reality. "A lot of these big, 'Big Tech' Silicon Valley companies are just masquerading as we just started in our garage. And we're regular guys. Like, no, these are guys that were created by military intelligence and they privatized these programs and we have willingly given them our data and we continue to do so. "And so even if you have Palantir having access to privileged information, think about something in that same family of company, like Clearview AI, for example, which is also Peter Thiel–connected, that has amassed this huge database used for facial recognition by law enforcement and militaries. So, you know, to arrest and also to murder people. "And they just scraped most of that from stuff, pictures people freely and willingly posted. We voluntarily gave a lot of our data away, and they've been able to scrape a lot more of it than you, than you probably think."

Whitney Webb exposes the chilling truth behind digital IDs, CBDCs, and the emerging global financial system—a surveillance state disguised as "inclusion." Webb warns that digital IDs are the backbone of unprecedented control, fusing data on travel, health, career, education, and telecom into AI-driven micromanagement. Paired with CBDCs, they form a system where every transaction is tracked, and non-compliance means exclusion. UN and BIS documents reveal years of planning, framing digital IDs as essential for "financial inclusion" and "banking the unbanked." But Webb argues this is a bait-and-switch—marketed as empowering, it’s inherently exclusionary. Without a digital ID, you’re erased from the economy. Webb cites Mark Carney’s "new Bretton Woods" vision, a post-crisis financial governance system. She suggests a orchestrated global event—akin to WWII—could trigger its rollout, with the debt bubble’s collapse as the catalyst. “All wars are bankers’ wars,” she notes, pointing to historical precedent. The debt bubble’s explosion is key. Webb explains that inflating debt maximizes the crisis, forcing masses into a tokenized ledger system. “Sign up, give your biometrics, and we’ll service your debt,” she mimics, highlighting the coercive onboarding to a surveillance-driven economy. Webb spotlights Larry Fink’s BlackRock, eyeing natural assets to fuel their business model. The Intrinsic Exchange Group, backed by the Rockefeller Foundation, aims to financialize nature—forests, rivers, life itself—into tradable assets, dwarfing current markets sixfold. This “nature’s economy” is a Wall Street power grab, Webb argues, turning the natural world into blockchain-tracked products. BlackRock’s AI, Aladdin, could manage risks in real-time, cementing control. Fink’s infrastructure bets, like acquiring GIP, align with a “green” decarbonization push. Webb reveals the Natural Asset Corporation model: identify a forest or lake, issue shares, sell to wealth funds, and profit—all for free. “It’s producing money out of thin air,” she says, framed as saving the planet but really saving the debt racket. The global carbon market and infrastructure overhaul are part of this shift, with BlackRock positioning itself as a key player. Webb warns that without awareness, this system could dominate unchallenged, reshaping economies and nature itself. Whitney Webb urges vigilance: the fusion of digital IDs, CBDCs, and natural asset financialization is a deliberate move toward total control. Will we wake up before the crisis hits? NEW: Whitney Webb describes how Les Wexner, Netanyahu, etc. have "enmeshed" Israeli tech startups into Big Tech companies so "they [can] never meaningfully boycott Israel no matter what happens" "a lot of these startups, of course... are intimately related to Israeli intelligence and Israeli military operations. They're staffed by veterans of one or the other... for lack of a better word, they have an explicit policy of using them as front companies for intelligence" "so, basically, by having all of these Big Tech companies absorb them, the goal is to have a major economic lever of power over the tech industry in particular that would prevent U.S. policy from ever meaningfully challenging Israel, even at this point in time when they have actively been conducting a genocidal war for years in Palestine" This clip of Webb (Whitney Webb), a contributing editor of Unlimited Hangout and author of One Nation Under Blackmail, is taken from an interview with Chris Hedges (Chris Hedges) posted to YouTube on August 5, 2026 ---------------Partial transcription of clip---------------- "Well, looking at a lot of the tech companies and data center companies that have installed themselves in New Albany in particular, the vast majority of them have significant subsidiaries that operate in the State of Israel. "And Wexner, of course, is intimately related to the state of Israel through his own activities. For example, I think several decades ago, he was sort of acting as a middleman in some business capacities between Israel and China and also working on establishing Israeli businesses and helping them establish themselves in the occupied Golan Heights, among other things. "And that's to say nothing of his links to the Mega Group, for example, which, as you noted in your introduction, created Birthright Israel. And also Jeffrey Epstein, who, at this point, is quite known for his ties to former Israeli politicians and the Israeli state. "But I think it also speaks to sort of a broader issue, to have a lot of this infrastructure of technology in the US be intimately intermingled and connected to Israel. "And this was actually something that was furthered and actually developed in conjunction with Netanyahu and the so-called vulture capitalist and significant donor to neoconservative causes Paul Singer, who explicitly created a company called Startup Nation Central with the explicit purpose of making it impossible for the U.S. to ever significantly support the BDS movement or the Boycott Divest Sanctions movement. "And the goal was to basically market Israeli startups to U.S. big tech firms so that they would acquire a lot of those startups and unprecedented numbers and also contract with them so that US technological infrastructure on multiple levels would be so intimately enmeshed with Israeli interests that they could never meaningfully boycott Israel no matter what happened, essentially. "And a lot of these startups, of course, if you've ever looked into the Israeli startup scene, are intimately related to, you know, Israeli intelligence and Israeli military operations. They're staffed by veterans of one or the other. "And, at the same time, coincidentally that Startup Nation Central was created, the Israeli government developed an explicit policy where these startups would be used to conduct operations that previously had been conducted in-house by Mossad, Unit 8200, and other parts of the Israeli intelligence system. "So, for lack of a better word, they have an explicit policy of using them as front companies for intelligence. And so, basically, by having all of these Big Tech companies absorb them, the goal is to have a major economic lever of power over the tech industry in particular that would prevent U.S. policy from ever meaningfully challenging Israel, even, you know, at this point in time, when they have, you know, actively been conducting a genocidal war for years in Palestine."
