⚠️ Winter Storm Fern Update: Our power system remains stable, and generating sites are performing well as Winter Storm Fern moves out of the region. Line crews are on the ground in Mississippi, Alabama, Kentucky and Tennessee assessing transmission line damage and working to restore service. We are working closely with local power companies to restore service in affected areas and coordinate restoration efforts. While the storm is moving out, extreme cold is expected this week. Icy patches and black ice remain a concern overnight, with temperatures dropping into the single digits and wind chills near zero.

Texas Huguley Hospital reported me to the TX Medical Board after I tried to help Jason Jones receive ivermectin while in the hospital. He was never allowed to take it but did make it out. Sadly, he had a rough recovery and passed on 4/11/23.

On a recent visit back to Western North Carolina, I recognized Phillip with a ‘Build America Hard Hat’ I first met Philip in 2025 when he was working to restore service after Hurricane Helene. With roads & comms washed out, he waded into Broad River and hiked more than 3 miles up stream. He grabbed fiber conduit and, in a kayak, brought it down to Chimney Rock. Phillip ended up making that trek seven times as part of efforts to bring service back online. I’m proud to acknowledge America’s hard working infrastructure crews with these ‘Build America Hard Hat’ recognitions.

🚨 Asheville should be absolutely ASHAMED of itself. These people took a $225 MILLION federal disaster grant meant for Hurricane Helene victims… and somehow managed to turn it into one giant bureaucratic circle jerk while families who lost EVERYTHING are still sitting in trailers, hotels, or couch surfing with relatives. Out of 11,488 damaged homes in Buncombe County… they carved out enough money to rebuild roughly EIGHT houses. EIGHT. Let that sink in. Meanwhile? Nearly $15 MILLION got shoveled into “administration” and paper-pushing parasites who never missed a meal, never lost a home, and never had to dig mud out of their living room with their bare hands. These people didn’t survive a historic disaster just to get abandoned by the very officials screaming about “equity,” “community,” and “recovery.” And while victims are drowning in red tape and hopelessness, Asheville’s leaders are busy playing developer with infrastructure projects, apartment complexes, and shiny little revitalization plans like they’re auditioning for HGTV instead of helping flood victims. This isn’t incompetence anymore. This is deliberate neglect. Taxpayers handed Asheville a quarter BILLION dollars to help PEOPLE — not bankroll bureaucrats, consultants, and vanity projects while disaster victims get treated like an inconvenience. MMIA airport alone handles more than 65% of our country’s international passenger traffic. For too long, we prioritized subsidizing consumption over building productive infrastructure. While smaller economies invested in airports, rail, roads, ports, and power, we delayed the investments needed to unlock long-term growth. If Nigeria is serious about reclaiming its position as the Giant of Africa, infrastructure development cannot be optional. It must be accelerated, sustained, and treated as a national priority.
