“The idea was, when he (Vincent D'Onofrio) decides to reveal himself they did a special version of his makeup that was very stretchable. What he does is he grabs the back of his head and he just starts tugging on it. The idea was he would pull it as far as he could, and then we would take over stretching the image, making it appear to be distorting in a way that it physically couldn’t. Then basically when I shot Vince I just kept urging him to pull harder, and harder, and harder until finally the final take he just pulled it until the makeup just ripped. We said, ‘Okay, we got it.’ That’s what’s in the show because it’s really tugging on his face the maximum it could be done, and then we just extended that. Helped by a little bit of editing we were able to put a ridiculously large CG creature inside of a human sized body, and we’re not seeing it all at one time, you kind of get away with the fact that, well maybe he was in there he was just hunched up.” – Eric Brevig, Men In Black visual effects supervisor.

In his speech he describes how hard it was for him to do so because even though they lived together, they drifted apart and he didn’t know his brother as well as others. During his whole speech, after almost every sentence he makes, the crowd erupts in laughter, you can tell he was uncomfortable, it made him feel like he was doing something wrong. Denzel Washington’s epic monologue towards the end of Training Day was largely improvised on set. Director Antoine Fuqua was so blown away by his performance, he says he thinks he "forgot to yell cut”. He explains… “That’s Denzel. He was just in his zone. I mean, that was one of those moment...people talk about AI. Those are the moments where you go...it's a great tool. It's gonna be a great tool, I think...but the emotion, and the moment that an actor can bring - you can't predict that. That's something that's just inside of Denzel. And when that came out, I was just like - I hope I got it. I just turned to my operator - who was shaking- I looked over at the guy - I was like, “please tell me you got that.” Because that was the take. That was it. There was no other take - I mean, how do you tell an actor like that, that that wasn't good enough? …He walked over to me, and he just had this look in his eyes. I was like, “you good?” He said, “you good?” I said, “Yeah…” Some of that was in the script, but he flipped it the way he did it. "Putting cases on all you." He kind of added some things in there. And then he just went into a whole other zone with the whole King Kong thing- with Pelican Bay - Denzel started that. That was Denzel. That was him, man. He just kind of lit up, and I think I forgot to yell cut. I was just watching it, because everybody started walking away, and I'm just watching him, and then he lights a cigarette - and he's talking - and I'm just watching him. I think at some point he probably looked at me like, you going to cut? And I'm like, “oh yeah, yeah, cut.” He was still in it. That's the thing with Denzel. My mother was held at gunpoint twice in Caracas. The second time it happened she said we were moving to America. We knew no one and we did not have much. But my parents always taught us that in this country we could do or be anything if we worked hard and treated people with respect. Years later, while I was playing football and baseball in college, I got a call from my father. He said that my grandfather, Izu, was dying of cancer back in Venezuela. He said, “Hey, if you want to see him, you got to come back.” We flew back to Caracas, and it was in the middle of an almost revolution because the dictator, Hugo Chávez, petitioned the Supreme Court to run again for office. He won in 1998 and was allowed to only serve one five-year term. The Supreme Court, to their credit, blocked him because it violated the constitution. What did he do? He packed the Supreme Court his buddies, and he petitioned for reconsideration. Now they ruled he could run again, as many times as he wanted to. And he did. He was the dictator until 2013 when he died. After that decision came down, there were massive protests and that happened to coincide with the trip to see my grandfather. My grandfather told me to take him out on the balcony to play chess where he taught me to play as a kid and he said, “Your father tells me you want to go to law school.” I said, “I do.” And he says, “What kind of lawyer do you want to be?” And I said, “I don't really know.” And then this giant of a man — who by then was down to just 85 pounds — lifted a bony finger out at the crowd below, and he said, “Always remember, this is what happens to a country when good people don't serve it.” The next day, my father and I went home, and a week later he had passed away. And so when I was 34 and the president was going to nominate me to be a federal judge, people said, “You're crazy. You got your whole life ahead of you to be a federal judge. Make money for 20, 30 years, and then you could do it.” But for me, it was a no-brainer, because getting to serve this country and my community that had given us everything, has been the great blessing of my life, and for that I am deeply grateful to my grandfather.

There were 48 hours from the time he texted that PRIVATE text in the group chat to the time he was assassinated…if he was so sure, why didn’t he text her? And if—as she claims—he wanted her back because she’d warned him about all these people, then why didn’t he text her the night before when he was so afraid he was going to be killed? It took him a little bit to kind of pick that up, but we so believed in him as a guy and his talent level that after a year, you could start to see it clicking. He became a big asset on special teams, and last year was the first time that we really believed he was going to step in there, really contribute at linebacker at a high level. The whole time he was mocking her and saying boom, according to him, he knew what he was doing and nobody could tell him anything. He finishes his cook and takes it out. The man sounded confident because it didn’t explode, as soon as he picked it up it exploded and he tossed it in her direction as she proclaimed she wasn’t cleaning that up. First half my two cousins that played at West Meck they were like bully guards. So they picking him up, pack Gym Dell Curry in there and they was just bullying him, picking him up full court. He was turning it over, air balling like so in the second half I don’t know what happened. I swear to God, man. If you from Charlotte, they know this real. He had like 45 in the second half. And it was like I remember talking because Dell was there, OG, and we was just talking . When I was leaving, he told Steph, he was like, “Listen, I don’t know what happened to you in the second half, but play like that everywhere, anytime.
