Experience matters in healthcare.

Oh, it matters so much

The smart ones do. Nurses and doctors do not compete with each other, each has a different role in patient care. They work as a team.

As they should, but still doesn't take away the fact that some Doctors do not regard their nurses, as portrayed in the video

That really isn't true in the modern world, but it was very true traditionally. My experience is that the ER works as a team, and in crisis everyone speaks up. The physician has the final say, because the physician bears the legal burden if things go wrong, but it is a collaborative effort. The doctors that do not work well on a team are eventually driven out in one way or another, or they learn to step up.

You are right and I love the fact you acknowledge the traditional aspect.

A doctor’s experience and that of a nurse are not the same thing

I agree, hence why it is good to listen

It's the same everytime! Experience matters!

did he really bin someone else`s phone, what if someone calls and it`s an emergency such a delay has cost people there lives in real life.

The phone was for the junior doc, and he did that out of anger I believe, she was dismissive of a patient, plus drs get paged not necessarily a phone call

Because TV shows are so authentic.
