This week, I prepared a special letter addressed to the President of the United States and to Congress. And yesterday, the letter was officially delivered to the institutions in Washington. It is quite rare for the leader of another state to address both the President and Congress of the United States simultaneously with a letter. But the situation now requires action, swift and effective action. It is important that America hear Ukraine. We understand that much of the world’s attention is currently focused on the war in Iran. But the war here in Europe must also be brought to an end – a very bloody war that is already in its fifth year at full scale. The sooner we are able to provide greater protection against ballistic threats, the sooner we will be able to make diplomacy work. As long as Russia continues to rely on missiles, its interest in diplomacy is not real. We must correct this. And we can do so only together with America. Ukraine is grateful to America for all its support. And Ukraine will be even more grateful for a dignified peace and guaranteed security. All of this is possible – if there is sufficient determination.

I asked my clawdbot to send a letter to me in the mail… and it actually did it. I gave it a crypto wallet and some USDC to make purchases with, and clawdbot went and read the agent documentation on postalform. It figured out how to draft an order with a PDF of the letter it wrote to me – then it used Stripe’s Purl cli and paid for the order using Stripe's new Machine Payments protocol. Because when you strip away the noise or agendas, the data and thus reality, is clear. Europe collectively spends $400 bn on defence. That's more that Russia ($140 bn) and China ($250 bn) combined. And its without any of the 31 other NATO members being in a wartime economy. Moreover, that's not to mention the vast human capital of Europe and many companies that exist be from Airbus to Thales, Saab to Rheinmetall. Now of course, right now, this is quite hypothetical, quite idealistic - a lot has to change: - Would it be easy? No. - Would it happen quickly? No. - Does Europe have the genuine will and political capital to do it? Unclear. But in principle, the potential is there. It just needs to be seized on. And the more Trump continues to criticise, insult, and threaten, the more it will only backfire as it ensures Europe completely decouples from the US and in the process destroying America's biggest asset: its alliance network. They were apparently closed on world children’s day even though the head of the office was in the building. Also, it appears that they don’t have a general policy on human decency to just accept a letter and apologize for dismissing the child hostages.

Today I brought an emergency motion to Fingal County Council calling on the Government to invoke Protocol 21 and opt out of the EU Migration Pact. It was rejected. Ireland is being signed up to binding EU migration quotas that were never put to the Irish people in a referendum. Protocol 21 is a legal opt-out that exists specifically to protect Irish sovereignty and this Government refuses to even discuss using it. Most politicians won't touch this topic. I will. The people of Blanchardstown-Mulhuddart didn't elect me to stay quiet on the issue that matters most to them. Mass migration is reshaping this country at a pace and scale that nobody voted for and the response from the political establishment is silence, deflection, or accusations of bad faith against anyone who raises it. I will keep bringing these motions. I will keep asking the questions others won't and I will keep representing the people who sent me to that chamber to speak plainly and without apology.
