It's took us long enough for me to actually believe we might sign a player

Completely agree that’s is more than fair value in today’s market. People saying it’s not good value are mad! Brighton just paid £35mil for some 18 year old who’s never played in PL. Elanga will be world class £100mil+ player in a couple years under Eddie 🥰

Nate Bittle is joining the Toronto Raptors on an Exhibit-10 deal. This is a long-term bet on development but I'd like to make a case for why Nate has a better shot to make it than most 7 footers who went undrafted. 1. He's smart. This doesn't just mean he's a mature, level-headed 23 year-old with good habits and work ethic, but he's also quite intelligent on the court. He processes feedback well, makes timely reads, and picks his spots pretty well. Apart from a few unforced turnovers and some foul trouble earlier in his college career, I'm not worried about his basketball brain. 2. He can shoot. And I mean shoot shoot. Not big man shoot. He has excellent touch indicators, and the shot should go in more than it actually does. Repeatable, high and quick release. Pulls with an abundance of sureness and confidence. 3. Improvement arc. His role expanded with the Ducks through the years and he just found a way to get better. There's no quantum leaps here, nor will 1 be coming. But he absolutely knows who he is as a player. 4. He can really pass. Not exceptionally. But he at least projects to be as good a passer as Jakob Poeltl, which is a huge win. 5. True 7-footer with a 7'6 wingspan. Gets long and big around the basket. Huge standing reach and plays with it. 6. Got stronger. Way too many people assume Nate is 7'1 215. Spoke to someone close to the source close to the situation who said he was closer to 7'1 245 and got up to 255 by the G League combine. That's BIG. 7. He's a drop big. Yes. But he's good at it. And I think his lateral quickness is better than people think it is. 8. Wingspan. He measured out with the largest wingspan in this draft at 7'6, tied with 12th overall pick Aday Mara. However, his Height (7'0) to Wingspan (7'6) differential of 6 inches is the biggest of any player in this draft north of 6'11. 9. He's got a nasty streak. He protects the rim, he goes up strong. Did he at times get bumped off his spot? Yes. But he competes man. 10. His athleticism concerns are over-emphasized. A 26 inch vertical matters way less when you're this big. By no means is this a big vertical lob threat who jumps out of the gym, but he rolls well, rolls hard, finishes well and has excellent touch on a handful of replicable post moves. For the Raptors, if ever he develops, he's as good if not a better bet than Brendan Carlsen. Same size, but a couple of years younger and a much more productive bet against better competition. Not to mention, he's a better defender passer and rebounder than Carlsen. I think he'll eventually work somewhere. Not spectacular. But 7'1 depth bigs who have this much game are a rare find.

5 years 🐭 • 5 years I’ve been sick and injured from this poison • 5 years I’ve been mainly bedbound and unable to work as a RN, where before my jab I was once healthy, in the best shape of my life & ready to start a family • Now I’m 40, disabled & can barely do my Activities of Daily Living • I am around 25-30% functional on a good day with having only about 4-5 good days in a month • I still have spike protein persistence 5 years later and will continue to produce them until i die bc there is no off switch- i also have t cell depletion along with CD3, CD4, & CD 8 cells- so it has wiped out my immune system completely- aka VAIDS • Before becoming a nurse, I was blessed naturally with a freakish athletic ability and talent • Any sport I played I excelled in, especially softball, basketball and volleyball - I started playing softball when I was 4 years old •In high school i lettered in varsity Volleyball, Basketball, and softball all 4 years. I earned so many accolades in softball and was a super star in my state—I was a 4 time all county, 4 time all conference, 2 time all region, 2 time All state shortstop and pitcher, County player of the year, and 2 time State Champion 👊✊ • Those were the happiest days of my life. After high school I went on to play college softball at a D2 school instead of going professional or playing D1 to be close to my family after my moms death my senior year. • I played 2 years of college ball and broke a few records my freshman year one being stolen base record: I was quick like lightning and my fastest time clocked in running to first base was 2.78 seconds in 40 feet 🐭 Of course I was lead off batter. I would get on base, steal 2nd and 3rd and would get hit home to score every time😃 I was also being scouted to play professional softball but pursued being a nurse instead. • I am now confirmed, diagnosed and a documented adverse reaction to the mRNA vaccine with temporal association due to symptoms occurring 8 hours after my injection • My past medical history only consisted of a pollen allergy which I took daily Claritin for, mono as a teen and chicken pox as a child—That’s it —No surgeries, or other problems • I now suffer not only with being in cytokine storm, but also a bunch of new onset diagnosis that it has caused—POTS (postural Orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) , MCAS (mast cell activation syndrome) Mthfr gene mutation, tremors, muscle mass loss, neurocognitive issues, monocyte and macrophage activation with all three monocyte likes expressing S1 Vax spike, mitochondrial failure, nitric oxide pathway failure, shingles, ebv reactivated, hot flashes, ovarian failure, severe adrenal insufficiency, leaky gut, hypertension, inappropriate sinus tach with pacs, pvcs, and ventricular trigeminy, adhd, depression, anxiety, ptsd, ocd, extensive hair loss alopecia, skin rashes and bumps, syncope, dizziness, tinnitus, shortness of breath on exertion , amyloid fibrin micro clots and activated platelet cascade, joint pain and swelling, palpitations and the list goes on • I speak out about my injury bc this poison needs pulled from the shelves ASAP and investigated because it is a threat to my posterity 💜Just Keep Swimming💜 Nurse Lyndsey (video is from summer 2022– when i was able to formulate a sentence again i haven’t stopped speaking out since)

Player Profile: Khanyisa Mayo[27]📝 Position: RW/RF/CF Foot: Left Club: Kaizer Chiefs FC Kaizer Chiefs has made another bold move in adding quality to the teams attack. Khanyisa Mayo provides immediate and long-term attacking solutions for the club on the right. 1. Technical Qualities Mayo is a skillful, left-footed attacker with a profile built for modern, high-intensity attacking football. ■ A very direct winger, always looking to advance play instead of recycling possession. ■ Excellent at carrying the ball through pressure, breaking lines, and forcing defenders into retreat. ■ His dribbling and progressive runs add verticality to the team’s attacking structure. Shooting and Passing: ■ Strong shooting range when cutting inside from the right. He provides that unpredictability to the attack with his quality to strike the ball from range. Consistently attempts to feed the box: goals, assists, and key passes. A finisher and creator between the lines. Positional Versatility: ■ In a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1, his best role is as the right forward or right winger, cutting inside to shoot or combine. He can also be effective stretching play and still carry goal threat and creativity. ■ As a No. 9: While not his best role, he is capable of leading the line. He uses his pace to run in behind. He can compete but lacks the physicality to hold off defenders, though his finishing is good. ■ As a Second Striker[442]: A role that plays better to his strengths than as a 9. He is comfortable operating between the lines, combining with midfielders and a traditional box striker. His mobility, creativity, and shooting ability allow him to function as the link player, collecting the ball, supporting the primary striker, and creating or finishing opportunities. This ability to operate both wide and centrally makes him tactically flexible, giving Chiefs options in various attacking structures. 2. Physical Attributes ■ Pace & Explosiveness: Quick acceleration makes him a constant outlet for balls in behind. ■ Strength & Balance: He is strong enough to hold off fullbacks, sustaining attacking sequences under pressure ■ High Intensity: Matches the tempo of Chiefs’ pressing and counter-pressing game. We do most actions with a lot of intensity, and his explosive nature will be very much welcomed in our attack. 3. Tactical Fit at Chiefs Under Coach Nabi, Chiefs are shaping into a side that plays with directness, intensity, and aggression across all phases of play: ■ Pressing & Counter-Pressing: The team applies immediate pressure after losing the ball. Mayo’s speed, defensive work rate, and forward momentum align seamlessly with this system. ■ High-Tempo Attacking: Chiefs don’t rely on slow possession. Attacks are vertical, sharp, and quick. Mayo’s instinct to drive forward, dribble at defenders, and attack space makes him an ideal fit. ■ Attacking Personality: His ability to provide not just progression but also the final goal, final pass, and decisive action elevates Chiefs’ attacking efficiency. Mayo’s game is inherently aligned with protagonist football: high tempo, forward intent, and productivity. 4. Experiential Value ■ Continental Experience: Spent a season in Algeria with CR Belouizdad, scoring 6 goals from wide positions. Notable not just for the numbers but for adapting to a challenging cultural and tactical environment. ■ Tactical Growth: North African teams are disciplined and organized, with compact defenses and structured pressing. Mayo sharpened his decision-making, spatial awareness, and ability to operate against tight blocks, preparing him for high-level CAF competitions. ■ Mentality: At 27, he blends maturity with hunger. His willingness to take risks reflects confidence and attacking intent. Yet to reach his peak, now is the perfect time to step up, showing the quality glimpsed at Cape Town City. Mayo joins Chiefs as both a system player and a game-changer. A top signing by the Glamour Boys! 📝

My friend Chauncy is with the Lord and what a loss for those of us left behind Chauncy started at KCAL last year and the first time we met it was like we’re picking up an old conversation. We both laughed saying we knew we’d be friends the minute it was announced he was coming to LA. He was actually just the friend I needed- as we were both navigating the ups and downs that come with adjusting to a new city, new job, new life. He was one of the best parts of my new life here in LA. Over the last few years, I’ve lost so many people I love, I’ve lost a lot of faith. God sent me a friend whose faith in God was so unwavering -it was contagious. No matter what he or I were going through - Chauncy was the friend who never let fear frustration or anxiety win - he took all of our troubles to God. Nearly every conversation ended with “We gotta pray, Sheba. We just gotta pray. God got us.” And he wasn’t just a man of prayer, his life… his actions matched his faith, he did the real work of helping other people through his foundation and making the world a better place. If he said he was going to show up for you, he did it BIG - Chauncy style. He would get me a grand bouquet of roses if we went to an event and send car service. Every time I posted Chauncy, yall flooded my DMs asking if that was my man (even my momma) 🤣 We would cackle and he would always say, “that’s how you’re supposed to be treated Queen Sheba.” He did treat me like a queen, and there isn’t a time I was around him that I didn’t feel taken care of. Most importantly, he reminded me in nearly every conversation that we are here to serve a higher purpose. But Chauncy is better than me. My faith is shaken again. Why would God take someone so young …someone who was doing so much good …Someone who walked in faith & believed more than anyone I know that everything would be ok - no matter what he was going through? That’s heartbreaking. Chauncy, you knew better - the battle was never yours it was the Lords ❤️ Rest my friend. You will be missed

‼️🚨🔵PRESSER🔵🚨‼️ ‍ 🎙 Enzo Maresca’s Full Post-Wolves Press Conference 🐺⚽️💬 🔹 Enzo Maresca: “Happy with the clean sheet 🧤✅, and making lots of chances 🎯. I’m worried by this kind of game 😬 — you have to win these games 🏆. First half – we didn’t concede 🚫 and created chances ⚡️. Second half, we scored the goals ⚽️💪.” 🔹 Enzo Maresca on Alejandro Garnacho: “He was very good 👏. Not only on the ball ⚽️ but also off it 💨, especially when he was pressing 🔥 — and this is what we need from our wingers 💪. Garnacho is doing well 🌟, Pedro Neto is doing well 💙, Estevão is doing well 🇧🇷. We need them all to be doing well 🙌.” 🔹 Enzo Maresca: “It’s part of my job 👔, it’s part of the game 🎮 [rotation]. At the end, this is a business 💼 — when you don’t win there are problems 😤 but when you win everything is good 😌.” 🔹 Enzo Maresca on Malo Gusto’s goal: “Finally… 😅 Last season, [Marc] Cucurella scored different goals ⚽️ as an attacking full-back 🚀. Malo was close many times ⏱️ but finally he gave us the goal we needed for 1-0 🔥. Malo is one of our main players 💪 because he allows us to be versatile 🔄.” 🔹 Enzo Maresca on progress this season: “It’s more noise from outside 🔊. Inside, we are convinced 💙 that as a club and as a team we are going in the right direction 📈 and doing good things ✅. At the same time, we can do many things better 🔧.” 🔹 Enzo Maresca on Alejandro Garnacho: “He arrived here from another club 🏟️ where he was not training 100% ⚠️. He knows to play with us he has to be good on and off the ball ⚽️💨. We are very happy with him 😊🙌.” 🔹 Enzo Maresca on Estevão being valued at £100m+ 💰 by CIES Football Observatory this week: “You can see that, absolutely 👀. He is top 🌟. For this club in the next five, ten years 📅, he will be a top, top, top player 🔵💎.” 🔹 Enzo Maresca: “Moi was okay 👍 but Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez asked for change for groin and knee injuries 🤕🩹.” 🔹 Enzo Maresca: “Our mood is good in any case 😌💙. It’s the noise from outside 🔊 because you drop points against a team doing well ⚔️. 🚨WATCH THIS. SOUND ON🔉 2yrs, 7 drafts & 125,000 words later, The Bushido of Bitcoin is finally available for pre-order. Writing this book has been a journey, and the process literally transformed my understanding of the world. This is NOT another history of money or economic justification for Bitcoin. Been there, done that. This is a book about virtue, excellence, culture and behaviour, which asks the harder questions: What becomes of those who rise to the top, in the new socio-economic paradigm? Will they become: --> A new kind of parasite? --> Another bunch of degenerate? Or --> Men & women of virtue. It’s not enough to just say “Bitcoin Fixes This.” We must do something about it. ____________________ The age of fiat will not last. A new era will take its place. The question is, who will lay claim to it? IMO: those who understand, that a new age, demands a new way of being. A new paradigm requires a new code, (a Bushido), that’s more vital, powerful and ascendant. The Bushido of Bitcoin is that playbook. ____________________ This is my attempt to synthesise the best of what I’ve found in both the dissident grass-roots right and philosophy-centric bitcoin domain. Some of you may be familiar with each other, but many of you will not. I hope this opens some doors and helps form a powerful alliance against the goblins and trolls running the world today. ____________________ I'd like to thank a few people who helped and/or inspired me along the way. (This is a good follow list, so take note) John Carter - the best editor and intellectual sparring partner I could’ve asked for. Also one of the best writers you'll come across. The book is not only twice as long but 10x better since you got involved and pushed me. Thankyou. Ross Stevens - Thankyou for your support, for agreeing to write the foreword and most importantly, for being a modern day Cosimo de Medici. You are a true Renaissance man. Saifedean Ammous - your work and integrity continue to inspire. You are of the rare few Austrians on earth today with the courage and fortitude to blaze a new trail. Uberboyo - your holistic view of the world and profound takes on Neech, Jung & the vital European soul were inspiring along the way. Jash Dholani - you revealed new rabbit holes for me to venture down with your brilliant coverage and ability to extract wisdom from the old books. You are quoted throughout. Chad Crowley - your eloquent micro-essays on X inspired a number of sections in the book, particular in relation to Nietzsche’s work. You have an understanding of him that few others can match. Jerr - your work on manhood, frame and masculine psychology is the very best in the world & you are quoted throughout. John Vallis & Robert ₿reedlove - our conversations over the years helped me synthesise & sharpen many of the ideas contained within. Parker Lewis & allen farrington - your work on Bitcoin is the only work I reference and point people to if they want the economic argument for Bitcoin. There are of course many others. Finally - a shout out to H E L I Λ И D 🦅 . Working with you on this trailer was a blast. You are a true magician. Reach out to this man if you want the best in video work. And shoutout to DOS BRAINS for the music. Incredibly powerful, and I hope this trailer has done you justice. ____________________ You can pre-order the book NOW on Geyser ⚡️ - along with some limited edition variants that once sold out, are sold out forever.

Technically is dead; long live Technically Some bittersweet news for you all today: after 5 years writing Technically and more than 100 posts about everything from APIs to data warehouses to Facebook DNS hacks, today I am (for the most part) shutting the Technically Substack down… …and replacing it with Technically 2.0, an amazing software product I’ve been working with David Krevitt on for the past 6 months. But first… For a newsletter that started with an innocent tweet while I was bored in Haneda airport, this thing has come pretty far. 70K+ subscribers, yada yada. But you’re here for the story so here it is. It was December 2019, I was traveling before moving to SF to start at Retool, and like I said, I was bored. Late 2019 – what an amazing time to start a newsletter! There weren’t that many of them out there. And then came 2020. Everyone was stuck at home with nothing to do but sign up for more and more Substacks, and talk about them on the internet. Every day, another one of your friends was announcing a newsletter on Twitter. It was the golden era, no doubt, and many people like me combined hard work, a good idea, and the old fashioned “right place right time” streak of luck to build a really nice Substack business. I’ll never forget the day Ben Thompson referenced Technically in Stratechery. I must have gotten 50 texts from friends. Everyone was reading Stratechery at the time…it was like becoming a made man. There was this almost communal vibe in the air with these newsletters. Everyone was reading the same stuff, talking about the same stuff. It was a scene is what it was. But by 2022 things were changing. People were outside again, and had less free time to read newsletters. Interest rates were going up, and people were working more (even in offices). In the paid Substack group chats, most of us were reporting stalling or negative growth, even though we hadn’t changed anything on our end. And with 50% churn rates on these subscriptions, if you weren’t growing you were dying. I’m listening to Neil Young’s “After the Gold Rush” as I write this and it couldn’t be more fitting. Although I imagine Mr. Young himself would disapprove of the whole paid newsletter endeavor. What happened to newsletters? David and I call what’s going on “Substack Fatigue” – people are just tired of reading yet another newsletter, let alone paying for one. Newsletters are just not the thing anymore. There are some fast growing news ones focused on AI, but the same story is going to play out in a few years when everything cools down. Political newsletters are fully investing in video and podcasts. Newsletters are not the thing anymore. We rode a cultural wave and the wave is over. You don’t have to die, but you have to adjust. The wrench in this whole story is that Technically was only (very) part time for me. I’m pretty sure at one point I was generating the most revenue on Substack for someone who wasn’t focusing on their newsletter full time. Which is a sick flex no doubt, but was also a huge problem, because I just didn’t have the time or mental capacity to make the big moves required to reverse the trend. Technically started to slowly lose paid subscribers every month, but I was at peace with that. I was entering a new phase in my life, settling down a bit, enjoying spending time on cooking, cocktails, and music. Approaching 30 and feeling really good about everything. It’s OK for some things to be temporary, and I was content with Technically to continue to be useful to people…just not make as much money. But in the back of my head, I always knew that Technically had a lot more potential, and deserved more than I could give it. That there’s no reason this thing couldn’t be a $1M+/year business. I continue to believe that technical literacy is going to be one of the defining social problems of our era, and the progress in AI only makes this even more critical. It should be way more than a newsletter, it should be how everyone learns what the fuck is going on in this digital world. I needed some help. But I had a bad track record of getting people to work on Technically with me. It’s hard to share custody of your child. And I am extremely particular. I’m not always the easiest to work with. Worked with some contractors here and there, but never found a more long term partner. I’m extremely grateful that David Krevitt reached out to me when he did or this paragraph would end here. Instead, after regaling you with my boring tale for many paragraphs now, I can finally share what we’ve been working on since last year. It’s called Technically 2.0. It’s all of the content you know and love, but built as a piece of software specifically aimed at helping people get more technical. No more newsletter – it’s a learning platform now, complete with reading lists, bookmarks, a dictionary, and guided learning tracks. Our goal was to make a Wikipedia kind of experience: click around to follow your curiosity on whatever software you’re learning about. You can sign up on the Technically site ( You’re going to have to pay for it, but if your experience is anything like that of the other thousands of people who already have, you won’t regret it. Enjoy the soothing sounds of David's voice as he walks you through it in the video below. It’s hard to say goodbye completely to something you’ve been doing every week for 5 years. Any readers with their own long running newsletters will understand the odd, para-social relationship you develop with your audience. So I’m going to keep publishing on Substack a little – monthly roundups of the new stuff we’re publishing on Technically 2.0, plus some good sponsored posts. So while the newsletter might be dead, it is also only just beginning (or something). Hope to see you on the other side, ~ ❤️ Justin

JUST IN: Video of Littleton bus aide punching nonverbal 10-year-old autistic student has been released. A Littleton school bus assistant repeatedly abused at least two severely disabled boys during trips to and from a school for kids with autism and developmental disabilities, police said, and they fear there could be additional victims. Kiarra Jones, 29, has been charged with a low-level felony on assault charges and has posted a bond at the Arapahoe County Jail. Police said in her seven-month tenure as an assistant on a school bus for kids with special needs, she hit and physically abused at least two children by pulling their hair, elbowing them in the face, stomach, and back, and flicking their faces. Neither of the boys can talk, but both were crying during the bus ride, police documents said. Parents of the boys said police told them they believe her abuse was systemic and frequent and there are likely more victims. Jones also endeared herself to several of the parents and gained their trust, all while she was abusing their children, parents said. “I literally bought her Christmas presents at Christmas time and tea when she wasn’t feeling good,” said Jessica Vestal, the mother of a slight 10-year-old boy with sandy hair who was repeatedly abused by Jones, according to video footage on the bus. “It’s disgusting and every day, it was, ‘Oh, you guys are my favorite family on the bus' … It’s sick. It’s insane, but he’s safe now.” In a letter to parents, Littleton Public Schools Superintendent Todd Lambert said: This is the third known district in seven years where a bus assistant reportedly abused children with disabilities. A Larimer County paraprofessional with a history of child abuse was accused of punching autistic kids on a Poudre School District bus in May 2023. And in Boulder in 2017, a woman was convicted of abusing a disabled girl on a school bus repeatedly for seven days. Kevin Yarbrough’s son is believed to be a victim, according to police, because he had an unexplained broken foot bone in the fall, and Jones was reportedly stomping on the children’s feet. At a press conference on Tuesday, Yarbrough said he felt like he failed his son. “I’m here today because I failed,” he said. “I failed him by trusting that the ladies on the bus and the people of the Littleton school district would also be there to protect him. I had assumed that when his teachers had a rough time getting off the bus, that there wasn’t a grown woman who was verbally and physically torturing my son and his friends. My son doesn’t have the ability to tell me when school is hurting him.” In a video released Tuesday by civil rights attorneys, Jones can be seen in camera footage from the bus elbowing Vestal’s son in the torso and shoulders and stomping on his foot. The video was captured on March 19, 2024. Vestal’s son came home that day with a large bruise on the top of his foot, it looked like a bowling ball was dropped on it, his mother said. She called the police and that was Jones’ last day at work, she said. Kiarra Jones, 29, was arrested April 4 after police reviewed on-bus footage showing her assaulting a 10-year-old boy on his way to The Joshua School, a school for kids with developmental disabilities. Lock her up and throw away the key.

💥Happy 2nd SHOT Anniversary💥 2 years y’all! I’ve survived 2 yesrs •2 years I’ve been sick and injured from this poison. And I’m calling it what it is bc I feel “poisoned” every single freaking day • 2 years I’ve been mainly bedbound and unable to work as a RN, where before my jab I was once healthy, in the best shape of my life & ready to start a family. Now I’m 38, disabled & can barely do my Activities of Daily Living •Before becoming a nurse, I was blessed naturally with freakish athletic ability and talent. Any sport I played I excelled in, especially softball. •I started playing softball when I was 4 years old. I skipped tee ball bc I was too advanced and at 4 years old I was playing in coach pitch. I was just an itty bitty thing out there in the sea of these “big kids” and was given the nickname of PEANUT😃 I was the smallest one out there but also the mightiest. Like they say dynamite comes in small packages.!😆 In high school i lettered in varsity Volleyball, Basketball, and softball all 4 years. I earned so many accolades in softball and was a super star in my state. I was a 4 time all county, 4 time all conference, 2 time all region, 2 time All state shortstop and pitcher, County player of the year, and 2 time State Champion 👊✊ Those were the happiest days of my life. After high school I went on to play college softball at a D2 school instead of going professional or playing D1 to be close to my family after my moms death my senior year. I played 2 years of college ball and broke a few records my freshman year one being stolen base record: I was quick like lightning and my fastest time clocked in running to first base was 2.78 seconds in 40 feet 🐭 Of course I was lead off batter. I would get on base, steal 2nd and 3rd and would get hit home to score every time😃 I was also being scouted to play professional softball but pursued being a nurse instead. I am now confirmed, diagnosed and a documented adverse reaction to the mRNA vaccine with temporal association due to symptoms occurring 8 hours after my injection I was in cytokine storm by day 10 of my injury and I still currently am in it 2 years later. My past medical history only consisted of a pollen allergy which I took daily Claritin for. That’s it No surgeries, or other problems. I didn’t even have a PCP at the time bc I was never sick and if I did get sick I would always just see my athletic trainer while at college or the urgent care. I now suffer not only with being in cytokine storm, but also a bunch of new onset diagnosis that it has caused. POTS (postural Orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) , MCAS (mast cell activation syndrome) Mthfr gene mutation, tremors, muscle mass loss, neurocognitive issues, monocyte and macrophage activation with all three monocyte likes expressing S1 Vax spike, mitochondrial failure, nitric oxide pathway failure, shingles, ebv reactivated, tremors, hot flashes, hypertension, inappropriate sinus tach with pacs, pvcs, and ventricular trigeminy, adhd, depression, anxiety, ptsd, ocd, extensive hair loss alopecia, skin rashes and bumps, syncope, dizziness, tinnitus, shortness of breath on exertion , micro clotting and activated platelet cascade, joint pain and swelling, palpitations and the list goes on. I speak out about my injury bc this poison needs pulled from the shelves ASAP and investigated 💯 #VaxInjuries #VaxDeaths #PfizerLied

I am not a teary preacher. I don’t think I’ve shed tears in the pulpit in the last decade but for a few times. Back in March though, I preached a sermon on Psalm 23 while in a valley myself. I struggled to read the text, and trembled throughout the sermon. As people came forward to receive the Lord’s Supper, my eyes were streaming. It had been an especially difficult season of ministry, and having come out of the pandemic by God’s grace and not a little adrenalin, I felt empty to meet the new challenges. After church, several people checked in on me, wondering if everything was okay (my wife was home sick that Sunday with whatever I had had earlier in the week, but I was glad she wasn’t there). Sadly, I mostly felt ashamed of the tears, and was afraid that the vulnerability which couldn’t be masked would cause members to lose confidence in my ability to lead. I scrambled to send a letter to the church the next day, explaining that the season had been hard, and justifying my tears by appealing to the apostle Paul’s throughout the New Testament. The elders of our church were amazing, and granted me a sabbatical later in the year (which is coming to an end this month). Our family had been going hard for nearly a decade after planting, so we felt the timing was right. I am extremely thankful to the pastors in our presbytery as well as Seminary professors nearby at Westminster Seminary California that have filled our pulpit over the last three months to make my sabbatical possible. Our ruling elders have been spectacular, going above and beyond to minister to the needs of the congregation in my absence. For us, it has been a time to reflect on the last ten years, learn, travel, and rest as a family. I’m excited to return to the pulpit, and covet your prayers for reentry. I share this all to encourage my brother pastors, and their churches: Friends in pastoral ministry, I know how lonely shepherding can be. May the Good Shepherd comfort and keep you. May he lead you by the still waters of rest and refresh your soul. Don’t be ashamed of your weaknesses, nor be afraid of being despised for them. The person who despises you for your weakness shows contempt toward the very thing God intends to use to demonstrate his strength. God teach us to boast in our insufficiencies, and magnify the sufficiency of God’s grace through our weakness. Other people may never know the challenges you and your family have faced, but the Good Shepherd knows, and he hasn’t abandoned you. Take comfort from these words written by Charles Spurgeon to pastors: “…You sometimes may not understand your own experience, and the perfect people may condemn you for having it; but what know they of God’s servants? You and I have to suffer much for the sake of the people of our charge. God’s sheep ramble very far, and we have to go after them; and sometimes the shepherds go where they themselves would never roam if they were not in pursuit of lost sheep. You may be in Egyptian darkness, and you may wonder why such a horror chills your marrow; but you may be altogether in the pursuit of your calling, and be led of the Spirit to a position of sympathy with desponding minds. Expect to grow weaker, brethren, that you may comfort the weak, and so may become masters in Israel in the judgment of others, while, in your own opinion, you are less than the least of all saints.” Friends in churches with faithful pastors, remember that your minister is beset by weakness, just as you are. This enables him to sympathize with you, but it should also enable you to sympathize with him. Welcome your pastor’s weaknesses, and let God minister to you through them. It’s a sign of an unhealthy culture when a church permits no weakness, or awkwardly avoids it; and if God delights to work through our weaknesses, it may also be a way of squelching the Spirit’s work in and through us. Care for your pastors, even as they seek to care for you. If you have a minister who has been serving faithfully for 5-7 years without an extended breather, bring it up in a congregational meeting. Maybe your pastor doesn’t need it, or maybe something like a sabbatical is exactly what he and his family could use. My sabbatical ends Jan 1, and I am excited to be back at our wonderful church with the saints, many of whom have taken an interest in our well-being over the years. It’s a privilege to serve Christ and his bride, weak as we all may be.

Everything you've heard people like Marc Lamont Hill say Pac didn't do is false. The man has the deepest literary device bag ever and he employed each of them well. These breakdowns only show a glimpse of how deep his literary device bag was. Sidenote: Joe Budden isn't a true Pac fan. *We clock figures "If I had a bigger dick or a dime for every time Muthafuckas took a bit of the lines from in my rhymes, I'd be richer than a bitch with a trick with big pockets, (Simile, hyperbole) equipped with a dick that's so thick, it fits sockets". (Hyperbole, metaphor) 2Pac loved implied metaphors. Here, he metaphorically compared his phallus to something large enough to fit into a socket, such as a large impact socket, exaggerating size for comedic and rhetorical effect. "If I had a dime for every time", is an idiom (Used to indicate a very frequent occurrence of something happening. Usually used in conjunction with some expression that one would be rich as a result of receiving money for all such instances -Farlex Dictionary of Idioms) You can follow the idiom with a multitude of different things, and he chose to follow it up with the number of times others have took a bit of the lines from his rhymes. He is obviously referring to other emcees biting his rhymes here. He layered an additional hypothetical onto the idiom, creating two parallel, alternative hypotheticals. Each hypothetical leads to a different exaggerated outcome; one financial and one physical (penis growth). He pairs the idiom with a second, independent hyperbolic premise, stacking the hypotheticals and juxtaposing their exaggerations. This parallel hyperbolic scenario intensifies both the exaggeration and the comedic effect. It also makes the hypothetical scenario even more non-literal and impossible. This is why he made sure the following lines did not just include a hyperbolic simile about the amount of money he would receive from every instance. He made sure the lines also included a "vulgar" hyperbolic metaphor about how large his penis would grow from every instance as well. It's figurative and impossible. The hyperbolic simile and metaphor helped drive his point home. The lines are placed right next to each other for a reason. Great word selection and placement. "Please don't misinterpret what I say to be dirty." The lines before this one could easily be considered dirty," and he is sarcastically pleading for the listeners to not view the lines in that way. This is his way of letting listeners know the previous lines were figurative and were not meant to be taken literally. Basically, he is saying to think beyond the surface and do not have your mind completely in the gutter. It is also a disclaimer for the sexual innuendos that come next. "Muthafuckas want to jerk me, so they irk me how they work me". Multiple things he mentioned here could all have sexual meanings. The disclaimer is there to let listeners know to not interpret it as him saying that, "muthafuckas" want to literally jerk and work him in a sexual way. It is very clever and humorous wordplay. Listen to his adlib right after he says "work me". He chuckled because of the puns he used; specifically the one he had just finished using. Everything here is connected, and it was all by design. He set the scheme up at the very beginning of the verse and ended it after the work me line. The whole third verse is pretty much figurative. With Pac, you always have to pay attention to how he worded things and the placement of those words. He simultaneously sandwiched his rhymes in the lyrics included in my breakdown. He did this by rhyming internally and externally. He rhymed internally multiple times here, and even more so if you count the near and partial rhymes. He even added a multi in there (pockets, sockets). The assonance and consonance can't be ignored either. Pay close attention to what Makaveli said after: "My history so thoroughly involves destruction, niggaz left with their ass bleeding, lyrical fucking". "Open up first to bust, let me see your heart, turn the lights down, cause I might clown in the dark" Is a play off the lyrical fucking bar. Peep his choice of words. They're all sex related. He's speaking figuratively. He used puns. Hence, "open up, first to bust and "Turn the lights down, 'cause I might clown in the dark" are part of it as well. He's referring to sex in the dark but figuratively. It's all figurative, clever wordplay. Word Class Wreckin Cru also has a song called Turn Off the lights. Hence turn the lights down. Dre was apart of that group. He dissed Dre by name in this song. Also, peep his choice of words here. There's an obvious correlation between see, light, and dark. Makaveli juxtaposed those words, using 'light' and 'dark' specifically to create an antithesis. 'Makaveli rise, all you niggaz die when I come I do some fly shit and be done'. The words rise and fly are both related to flight. Very subtle. Lastly, he used internal and external rhymes, both with and without using multisyllabic rhymes. "Murdered my friends, built a new posse, we taking shots at paparazzi go and fly now, nigga like Rocky". "Murdered my friends, built a new posse", is not directed at Stretch. The friends he's referring to are the members in the Thug Life group. (Macadoshis, The Rated R). The Outlawz are the new posse he's referring to. He's also alluding to what his character Bishop did in Juice. Xzibit has a song called paparazzi. "We taking shots at paparazzi" was directed at him. Makaveli referred to him as paparazzi instead of his name. Although Makaveli didn't explicitly say his name, he sent a clear subliminal shot at Xzibit. Makaveli felt that Xzibit took subliminal shots at him in his song, 'Paparazzi'. "Forgive me, I'm a rider, still I'm just a simple man All I want is money, plus the fame, I'm a simple man. - Makaveli (Radio Edit of How Do U Want it) Here's what Xzibit said in his song Paparazzi. "I don’t believe the hype or buy wolf tickets Nigga, you make a gang of noise and never seen, like a cricket I guess that’s why we never kick it A lot of niggas is soft and get tossed, tryna fuck with the Likwit How many niggas do you know like this? Always claimin' that they ridin', but they really turned bitch It don’t make sense, either you’re a soldier from the start Or an actor with a record deal tryna play the part—like that! It’s a shame, niggas in the rap game Only for the money and the fame Edi dissed Xzibit in Bomb First (My Second Reply) but Makaveli dissed him himself this time. This is also directed at the actual paparazzi. 2Pac wasn't fond of them. The Paparazzi are freelance photographers who pursue celebrities to take photographs (shots) of them. Hence, taking shots at paparazzi. Get it? "Go and fly now, nigga like Rocky", is a reference to the "Gonna Fly Now" theme song (performed by DeEtta Little, Nelson Pigford, and Shelby Conti) from the movie Rocky. ""It’s like he’s standing up there jumping around; it's like he's gonna fly." - John Avildsen (Rocky Director) He was also referring to Rocky from the TV show, "Rocky and His Friends". This is why he said "Murdered my friends". Rocky was a flying squirrel in the TV show and this is why he said, "Go and fly now, nigga like Rocky". Makaveli was able to do all of this in just three lines. He got his point across without any wasted lyrics. The lyrics have purpose. He's lyrically efficient here. The way he set up the Rocky simile allowed him to kill two birds with one stone. The wording ('murdered my friends, go and fly now') provided listeners and readers with just enough hints to connect the dots between the lyrics and the TV show, Rocky and His Friends, while still referencing the theme song from the Rocky movie. "Baby .45 but she's still live, one shot make a nigga'z heartbeat stop.” He’s metaphorically talking about a .45 caliber gun being his girlfriend; this is obviously wordplay. That's just not the only layer to it. This is a part of the time motif he employed because anything that happens in real-time is “live.” He also juxtaposed “baby” and “.45” to create an oxymoron. An oxymoron is a combination of contradictory or incongruous words, and that’s exactly what “baby” and “.45” are here. A literal baby cannot be 45 years old. This isn’t just figurative because he’s metaphorically talking about a .45 caliber gun; it’s also figurative because of the oxymoron. He also juxtaposed “live” and “make a nigga'z heartbeat stop” to create an antithesis. The word “live” means to have life, while “make a nigga'z heartbeat stop” refers to death. He said “she’s still live” to also create a paradox. 45-year-old women aren’t generally associated with vitality, but despite her being 45, she’s still full of life. All of this is placed in a single line by design. “One shot, make a nigga'z heartbeat stop.” He’s not just talking about his .45 caliber gun (metaphorical girlfriend) being able to end someone’s life with one shot. He’s also saying she has the power to leave a man figuratively breathless. One opportunity or chance (“one shot”) with this woman could figuratively take a man’s breath away and leave him in shock. She has the power to make a man’s heart figuratively stop because of the “caliber” of woman she is. One shot with her can have this effect because she’s that mind-blowing and breathtaking, pun intended.
