He walked up to us drinking his alco-pop while banging an empty glass bottle against the tram stop, wondered if he was going to smash it & attack us - I stood up & told him to f*** off & stop harassing women. He walked off, put down his empty bottle & then after more rambling said โ€˜I want to make love to you. Are you single?โ€™. Huge thanks to the lovely man who had just finished his shift at SAPOL HQ (who Iโ€™ve edited out of this video) who walked onto the platform & saw this part of the interaction & came & sat next to me to make sure I was ok & stayed with me until the tram arrived & helped me report this to SAPOL 131444.

The subject of 'owning a slave' is dense. It is something we hear a lot when we are in the FemDom Realm. Is it just fantasy? Can it actually be a lifestyle? How do we navigate this type of dynamic? It's not just the birthrate, our best and brightest are looking for the exits too. If I hear another young, educated and talented fellow tell me they are done with Australia and are giving up, I am going to scream! It is hard to know exactly what to tell them at this point... It is the new pandemicโ€ฆ twenty-and-thirty-somethings - particularly men, with a small business or a great qualification - looking to give up and leave. They have lost hope. Sick of the scamming, lying, politicians; sick of being flogged and lectured at; sick of the taxes; and the so-called โ€œaspiration for allโ€ - whatever that means. Most of the young men I speak to havenโ€™t been here long enough to know what I mean when I say: โ€œI just want Australia backโ€. Unless you lived it, it is almost impossible to explain. I was just a kid when the bicentennial celebrations kicked off in โ€™88, but that is a good place to start. What a time to be an Australian. We were filled with hope. Men were men, and women were womenโ€ฆ We were filled with pride in our common achievements and looked with hope to an even brighter tomorrow. Sure, people had a whinge from time to time, but they were never taken too seriously. We just shrugged, motored on and thought "she'll be right mate" - and it was. We took pride in our work because it meant more than just a paycheque and if we made something, it was Australian made. That meant it was the best quality. We had fun, and everyone had the opportunity to prosper at all levels. Labourers and lawyers alike could afford homes, cars and even holiday houses. It seems like a different world today as the ideologues, lobbyists and hacks redefined words like fairness and prosperity. Today it would seem it is fair that Coles and Woollies can charge just about whatever they want, and insurance companies can kick up their prices 40% per year, and nobody says a thing. Prosperity is being able to rent a 70 sqm Meriton apartment and a Netflix subscription. Itโ€™s all walking distance to public transport, so it could be worseโ€ฆ you could be out of work. Soon... They tax us on our income; they tax our assets; and the things we buy with money we already paid tax on. Sometimes they even add the GST on top of the excise. They have a rule, a regulation and a law for everything - and I mean everything. The nannies are working overtime, and they are just about the only part of the country that is experiencing productivity growth โ€“ theyโ€™ve got to rake in those fines after all. So, the boys are giving up. Theyโ€™re planning to leave. To be replaced by more โ€œbum-wipingโ€ โ€˜skilled migrantsโ€™ flown in to help bolster the University fat-cats and NDIS scammers, as they put the โ€˜care economyโ€™ into overdrive. Controversially, this is not all Albaneseโ€™s fault, it has been decades in the making, Albanese has just put the cherry on Morrisonโ€™s icing. Australia is indeed in freefall, in every way. It is hard to believe it was an accident. I think most of us can see that now, which is why less of us care what the major party talking heads have to say every day. We have almost reached the chapter in the story where people vote against the status-quo, and anyone who had anything to do with building itโ€ฆ because this growing despair among our young men is catching. Passed from child to parent, friend to friend, thereโ€™s a deep melancholy, and a pining for better times. Echoes from the first fleet, the gold rush, the ANZACs and the 80โ€™s. World Expo. Sydney 2000. Our birthright. Our home. Our Australia. It still whispers if you listen. Time to scream at the idiots that ruined it with their guilt, their rules, their taxes, and their windmills โ€“ vote them all out. Start again. I just want Australia back.

There's a new AI-native IDE out there named Aide, and there are four things I like about it: 1. It's open-source 2. It's proactive and suggests changes before you ask 3. It uses an intermediate layer between the editor and LLM 4. It's SOTA on the SWE-Bench benchmark I'm excited about #3 because this layer (called "Sidecar") will help people connect any model to the IDE. While this isn't possible right now, it's clearly the goal. Sidecar is also open-source. As I write this, the code agent behind Aide, "CodeStory Midwit Agent," is second in the Verified SWE-Bench leaderboard (it finished in 2024 in the first place.) This is a huge deal! If I'm gonna have an agent help me code, it might as well be the best of the best. The proactive aspect is also cool: the IDE provides suggestions to improve your code without you having to ask. I recorded a quick video showing you how Aide works. The team behind the IDE partnered with me on this video. Right now, it feels like *everyone* is building AI-powered coding tools. As a career developer, nothing excites me more than seeing how quickly we transform the development experience. And 2025 is just getting started!

Hirokazu Koreeda on how he directs Children: "Interviewer: I think 'Shoplifters' (2018) is very remarkable in showing different sides of a city and like you said, people who are pretty much invisible, but I do want to also commend you on another thing, is you often work with young actors, and they always tend to have a significant role in many of your films. How do you go about finding such dynamic young actors, and why do you often put these young people at the center of each one of your stories? Koreeda: First of all, I would say that I tend to make what I would call family dramas, and of course, you have to have children if youโ€™re creating a family, but thatโ€™s how it started, but I found that as I did it, I became really interested. It became very interesting and fun to work with these children, and for example, the two children in this film, neither of them had any acting experience at all before this film. I brought them in, and what I find when you bring these children in, and you work with them is that the adult actors change. They become much more lively and natural in the way that they act, and I guess, at some point, I realized this, and I guess, became really attracted to the idea of having children and the impact that it had. Interviewer: Do you find that there is any struggle in terms of working with young actors, or in this case, young children who have not actually acted before? Koreeda: Just to clarify, I have worked with children in many of my films, and all of them have never had experienced before. I always go out and pick non-acting children to work in my films, so just, I wanted to put that out there. In terms of the struggle, it does take time. You have to give extra time to work with these children. When I choose these children, I have an audition, and I pick out who I want to the audition, and then when we get to set, I never give them the script. No child that Iโ€™ve worked with has been given a script beforehand, and when I get to the actual part where theyโ€™re going to be acting, I give them the lines myself, and work with them and coach them. What I find is that itโ€™s actually really enjoyable, both for them and for myself that way. I also, because Iโ€™ve been doing this now for several years, I tend to have a fairly high success rate in choosing children that are able to work with me in that way. Interviewer: Thatโ€™s fascinating, and it also shows how you are able to create such authentic performances from these child actors over and over again in so many of your films. I think itโ€™s a unique gift that you have, and itโ€™s something that very few directors, I think, here in the United States do. First of all, we here at AMGI want to thank you all for being on this journey with us. We have been extremely busy. Over the last few weeks we have delivered a huge early access patch to My Pet Hooligan, delivered a new on-chain governance solution with WinVote, brought back NFTs in game, started testing the Street Kred system, made some new hires, delivered a new site for AMGI Studios and smashed the largest gaming event in the USA, PAX West. What does all of this mean and importantly what is next!.... PAX West You have seen the videos, you know the vibes were on point, but let's dive deeper into this and what the key takeaways are. PAX West was completely different to the WAGMI Crypto events that we are mostly used to in this space, although these are always fun and important, when creating gaming products, it is also important to get directly in front of people who have a passion for gaming. That's what PAX West was, hosting over 100,000 gamers who just want to play games and have fun. PAX West was a great success for us on many fronts. It confirmed that we have something special in our hands. Gamers loved both the brand and the game and were eager to get involved. It opened up new exciting opportunities with gaming and hardware companies. It was a blast seeing event goers from Day 2 onwards wearing the My Pet Hooligan t-shirts around the city. It was great to see parents playing the game together with their kids. The choices to not include blood and gore made a huge difference and have opened some new unexpected doors for us. If we truly believe in the progression and adoption of this industry we need to move beyond degen products and into real life consumer products that people can truly enjoy. That's what we are here to do, no matter how difficult it is, and no matter what the current โ€˜metaโ€™ is. We have been here for many years grinding day in and day out and are still here today delivering like we are the new kids on the block trying to prove ourselves. The Game PAX West marks the end of a phase of the project, whilst we now posture more into continued efficiency, growth and retention. The game is not feature complete by any means yet but the foundations are strong. There are a number of features still being developed, including a progression system, consumables system, further build out of questing, token utility and more. As these are continuing to be developed we also continue on our journey to make the game more accessible. This will start with Steam and then Consoles. A Microsoft rep at PAX told us โ€œwe are going to make itโ€, who are we to disagree!... Lots of new ideas, lots of new feedback to work from and a renewed drive and hunger which are only going to help make this an even more compelling and fun game. The Web3 Marketplace In the coming days, Version 1 of the My Pet Hooligan Web3 Marketplace will be going live. Version 1 for now will allow for the trading of My Pet Hooligan NFTs, OG Hooligans and Zuckbots for $KARRAT. It will also serve as the marketplace for all of our upcoming in-game blockchain assets. This will eventually become part of your online My Pet Hooligan central hub and will include features such as rentals and subscriptions. It's been a long time coming but it shall be here very soon. Everything's coming together, one step at a time. It is important to note that there are many pieces of a complex puzzle that must come together in order for us to succeed. Between payment solutions, L1 & L2 blockchains, wallets, distribution platforms and the laws of the land. We are in uncharted waters and continue to do things in the most flexible ways possible to ensure we have strong resilience with our operations. The MPH website is next on the list for an uplift too as well as an overhaul of the user accounts system UI/UX. Team We continue to strengthen the team bringing in new hires and stepping up individuals from the community. Some of the new resources being brought in include a new Game Producer, Senior Game Engineer, Senior Blockchain Engineer and the former Dean of the Epic Unreal Fellowship Programme. Collectively bringing in experience from Epic, Solana, Blizzard and more. There are also some community role changes and new advisors that will help with social strategy and web3. As well as new marketing efforts through new channels of distribution that we are exploring. More to come on thisโ€ฆ WinVote V1 Governance isn't sexy but building tools for the benefit of the space that others can license is. Governance is a key part of the industry and a need for most of the foundations in the crypto space. WinVote has started its trial with the KARRAT Foundation. Whilst the trial continues it will continue to be built out with an aim to be the premier tool for on-chain governance in the space. Access to WinVote for other communities and organizations wishing to use WinVote will be secure through licenses that utilize $KARRAT. I grew up watching women like Sigourney Weaver and roles like Sarah Connor, so when Chris Cuomo says on the recent Tucker Carlson X interview: "I know too many women who can kick my ass." Well, there is a reason I sleep with a shotgun & a handgun by my side. There's a reason I trained my dog to bark only in the case of an intruder. There's a reason I train to master the use of these weapons. Before I tell you if Chris can kick my ass or not, I just want to say how amazing it is for Tucker & Chris, who were both fired from their old networks, to come together and have a balanced dialogue. It is in the best interest of the majority of the country, who still lean center, to hear topics from both sides & come to their own conclusions. Would you pay to watch a man fight a woman in the UFC? This is my fear, as we continue to marginalize the differences in men & women. We begin to create a future where young men start to believe women are equal. We are building a future where women have no sports & no protection; we saw this play out as kids who received participation trophies become adults. They were told time & time again, not to compete and now they have had a hard time with the brutality of the world. No we are not equal, but we are also not frail & dependent. Hell froze over: announcing FormKit for React. Secretly framework-agnostic since inception, today weโ€™re open sourcing the most popular Vue form libraryโ€ฆfor React. Why is this a big deal? 1. Forms are still hard. We (the creators of FormKit) thought form libraries were no longer necessary, given the trajectory of coding agents. It turns out we were wrong, and we learned this the hard way. Need repeating conditional fields nested 3 layers deep inside a dynamic component, with accessibility, validation, internationalization, and backend error placement? Turns out coding agents arenโ€™t great at that. Itโ€™s table stakes for FormKit. 2. Single component. This matters more than you would think, but FormKit doesnโ€™t ship lots of different components each with its own props. Instead, it has a single one: and unified props. This was done to provide a better DX to human engineers. It makes it easy to spot when a given component was part of the formโ€™s data structure vs a presentational component. It turns out this matters even more to coding agents than humans. No matter where your coding agent is, whenever it sees โ€œFormKitโ€ it immediately knows โ€œoh, thatโ€™s part of the formโ€™s dataโ€. 3. No plumbing. FormKit doesnโ€™t require any manual data collection, event listening, or state tracking. It does all this for you on a heavily tested, framework agnostic, self-assembling graph. The only code your agent needs to write is declarative templates and submission handlers that respond to the state. 4. Dense colocation. FormKitโ€™s syntax happens to be ideal for coding agents; nearly everything you need to know about a given input is *on* the input: Colocation dramatically improves the efficacy of coding agents. 5. DOM. FormKit, unlike most form frameworks in React, renders the actual DOM. This also increases colocation and best practices, meaning your coding agent is far more likely to produce consistent and high-quality output that looks and acts the way its supposed to. 6. Schema. FormKitโ€™s own inputs are not written using Vue or React โ€” instead, FormKit has its own render schema โ€” think of it like an AST for the DOM โ€” and you can modify it on the fly. Itโ€™s not very human-friendly to write, but it turns out most models are already pretty well trained on FormKitโ€™s schema. Want your inputs to look a bit different on one form than another? No problem, your coding agent can easily make those changes *without* modifying the JSX structure at all. Oh, and any inputs you create for Vue work with React and vice versa. 7. Plugins. FormKit leans into the unstructured tree graph hard. The graph doesnโ€™t just collect data, it also passes down configuration and plugins. Want one form to work a bit differently than another one? No problem โ€” just add a plugin to the top of that form or group and its children will all receive that feature. You can even mass assign props and configuration this way. Of course, FormKit has been solving these exact issues for a long time, but it wasnโ€™t until we started using it on our own projects with coding agents that we realized what a huge advantage it is. Need repeating conditional fields nested 3 layers deep inside a dynamic component, with accessibility, validation, internationalization, and backend error placement? Turns out coding agents arenโ€™t great at that. Itโ€™s table stakes for FormKit. 2. Single component. This matters more than you would think, but FormKit doesnโ€™t ship lots of different components each with its own props. Instead, it has a single one: and unified props. This was done to provide a better DX to human engineers. It makes it easy to spot when a given component was part of the formโ€™s data structure vs a presentational component. It turns out this matters even more to coding agents than humans. FormKitโ€™s syntax happens to be ideal for coding agents; nearly everything you need to know about a given input is *on* the input: Colocation dramatically improves the efficacy of coding agents. 5. DOM. FormKit, unlike most form frameworks in React, renders the actual DOM. This also increases colocation and best practices, meaning your coding agent is far more likely to produce consistent and high-quality output that looks and acts the way its supposed to. 6. Schema. FormKitโ€™s own inputs are not written using Vue or React โ€” instead, FormKit has its own render schema โ€” think of it like an AST for the DOM โ€” and you can modify it on the fly. Itโ€™s not very human-friendly to write, but it turns out most models are already pretty well trained on FormKitโ€™s schema. Want your inputs to look a bit different on one form than another? No problem, your coding agent can easily make those changes *without* modifying the JSX structure at all. Oh, and any inputs you create for Vue work with React and vice versa. 7. Plugins. FormKit leans into the unstructured tree graph hard. The graph doesnโ€™t just collect data, it also passes down configuration and plugins. Want one form to work a bit differently than another one? No problem โ€” just add a plugin to the top of that form or group and its children will all receive that feature. You can even mass assign props and configuration this way. Of course, FormKit has been solving these exact issues for a long time, but it wasnโ€™t until we started using it on our own projects with coding agents that we realized what a huge advantage it is. Each generation of satellite is also better, not to mention the terminals on the ground. Thereโ€™s now multiple types of terminals, including the more recent minis that people really likeโ€”โ€œHey, I can put it in a backpack if I go on a hike or if Iโ€™m traveling. I can put it on the ski rack of my car.โ€ Perfect internet all the time. All that does for us is it gives us more use cases that we can unlock. Now that you have connectivity on the oil rig, or on a farm, or a ranchโ€”wherever you areโ€”we can apply the AI to those situations on the ground without latency, and then send the metadata back to some other location that they want it. With Y Combinator demo day coming up this weekend, I wanted to reflect on what I learned from YC W14, 10 years on + another company in: 1. The 7 minute espresso rule. Our first meeting with Sam Altman lasted just 7 minutes. The batch hadnโ€™t even officially started yet and my cofounder Ryan Rowe and I drove down from Mountain View to the tiny SF YC outpost to meet him. Sam was making an espresso when we walked in. He opened with โ€“ โ€œhave you launchedโ€? We said no, too many bugs. Our product Kimono Labs made it easy to just point and click to build a web scraper. Our promise was to get you an API in 60 seconds, without code. But it only worked on a handful of sites at the time. Sam pushed us to launched in 2 weeks. We debated. The espresso finished brewing, he picked it up, looked at us and said, โ€œwell, you better get going then and fix those bugsโ€. We left, launched in 2 weeks and learned one of the most important lessons that day - speed matters. Ship something youโ€™re embarrassed by. 2. There are no experts. Ryan and I were not prepared for the rapid influx of user on launch day. It got tons of traffic on day 1 and we didnโ€™t sleep in the next 48 hours bc servers and database kept crashing. We realized we werenโ€™t the experts and needed to hire one. We went over to Michael Seibel for advice who smiled and told us that in the early days at SocialCam (Twitch) experts thought the streaming video problem was impossible. The answer wasnโ€™t hiring an expert, but hiring someone young, capable and naรฏve enough to give it an earnest try. So we opted to just figure it out ourselves. 3. Messages in Pizza Boxes. Startups win through incredible customer service, then through product, not the other way around. Seibel told us how SocialCamโ€™s streaming infrastructure went down while a key teammate was unreachable off-grid in a Tahoe cabin for the weekend. Normal people would have waited until Monday. Not Michael. He called a local pizza delivery place and asked the delivery person to send a large pizza with an urgent message in the box to the cabin. Their infrastructure was back up in hours. 4. The Twinkle can matter more than the TAM. Ambition matters just as much as practicality. Before demo day, we were struggling with the end of our pitch. We knew the value of our product, and had a fanatical and fast-growing user base, but the market size we calculated either seemed so ridiculously big that it was not plausible, or so narrow that it was equally silly. Paul Graham and Geoff Ralston sat with us and showed that us that if we can really pull it off at scale, it would be bigger than Google. PG suggested not talking about market size, but just making sure people could see the twinkle in our eyes when we talked about what you might be able to do with a structured copy of the internet thatโ€™s larger than Googleโ€™s. 5. Youโ€™re always at the Origin. Our demo day was successful beyond our wildest beliefs. Afterwards, Geoff drew a chart for us on a whiteboard. It was a hockey stick. He asked us where we thought we were. It was a rhetorical question. He said we were at the origin. Sam doubled down. When he invested in Kimono, he gave us a Zimbabwean Trillion dollar note (the result of extreme hyperinflation in Zimbabwe), as a cautionary reminder that the fundraising and valuation mean nothing. We have channeled this into our culture Arena with our ritual around neon shoelaces and a pair of neon track spikes hanging on the wall to remind us that weโ€™re at the Olympic starting line, but we donโ€™t have any medals yet. 6. High bandwidth discussions with users donโ€™t happen over email. The โ€œCollison installationโ€ is part of YC lore. John Collison told us that talking to users live was essential because email and chat conversations were just not enough. We did 100s of Skype conversations with Kimono users + one power user Alex Chung, who I met this way, has become a close friend and even attended my wedding in India last year!

So the idea that this is siding with Ukraine is absurd. Anyone who really follows events knows that we're not siding with Ukraine. We have paid for hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians to go to the front lines and die for more and more territory to be lost. Because the most basic point of this war, which is that we overthrew a government in Ukraine in 2014 that wanted neutrality so that we could push NATO enlargement, was reckless, stupid, and doomed to fail, and it failed. Now Biden is just trying to hide the failure to get past November, but the failure is seen on the battleground every day. If the Republicans play into this, its unbelievable shame on them. Theyre basically on the right side, although Biden bludgeons them every day. Youll be the one to lose Ukraine. Well, the truth of the matter is Biden has been a disaster for Ukraine for a decade. The disaster is there in the graves of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and lost territory. This is a war that never should have happened. It was about NATO enlargement, where the Russians said, no NATO on our borders. Their hard work made prototyping this thing a breeze. Without further ado... Devs like to write code, not documentation. Tribal knowledge is lost when devs move on to other projects, leaving future devs to sort through mountains of code and figure out not just how it works, but why it works that way. This is all about to change. GPT-4's ability to write code is stunning. It seems to understand something fundamental about writing software that previous models just didn't. This comprehension of the principles that drive the design behind a complex system carries over into its ability to document existing codebases in a truly impressive way. With the enlarged context window(s), it's now feasible to feed GPT-4 entire files of code and ask it to write documentation about how the code works. Taking this as a starting point, the process looks something like this: 1. Download repo. 2. Depth-first traversal of repo contents, ignoring things like package-lock and binary files. 3. For each file, feed to GPT-4 and ask it to write documentation in markdown. 4. Save the output in a separate location as [outputRoot]/[inputFilepath][inputFilename].md 5. For each folder, we ask GPT-4 to write a summary of the folder, taking the newly generated documentation for all files in the folder and the summaries from each of its subfolders as context. Write this to the filesystem as markdown. Now we have a filesystem that matches the structure of the input repo, but all files in the tree are markdown documentation of the corresponding code file. From here, we: 1. Load markdown documents into LangChain. 2. Embed all documents via OpenAI embeddings. 3. Store embeddings in Pinecone. When a user sends a query: 1. Embed query. 2. Find k-nearest markdown files. 3. Feed to GPT-4 with a prompt asking to answer the query based on k-nearest markdown documents provided. The craziest part of all this? GPT-4 actually wrote ~30% of the code. The results are pretty good for 2 days of work. There is certainly room for improvement. Some items that are top of mind: 1. TolyGPT will occasionally hallucinate answers. It is especially bad with links to external sources, like GitHub. The base model seems to know a bit about Solana already, and sometimes this creeps in. It may be worth breaking the documentation into subsystems to limit this. 3. Not all files fit into the 32k token window. As of now, there are 23 (out of ~1,100) files that cannot be documented in their entirety. Some of these files are very important to how Solana works. Final thoughts: 1. GPT-4 is super powerful, and we're going to see a ton of tools that supercharge the entire software development lifecycle. This is not 12 months away. For the people that can afford it, these tools are here now. And they're only getting better. Act accordingly. 2. The price of inference has to come down for this to go mainstream.
