Respect it and move on. Trying to bring it up later in conversations just to create a different narrative doesn’t change what was already clear from the beginning. I went to China this year and took pictures of the ground reality but the Chinese police made me delete all of them, the slums, the dirty beaches, and the messy, rundown college hostels and universities. China is not what it looks like on Instagram. It’s not living in 2050, it’s still stuck in 2000. They’re just really good at hiding the truth from the world media.
