Here's GPT-5.6 Sol vs Fable asked to build the exact same app (prompts in the article!) What do you think? I have my opinions, but I'd like to hear yours. Both built complete, working apps, but with very different approaches: - Sol took less than half the time at the same (high) reasoning - Sol spent much less time on frame analysis. Fable dumped sheets of frames for every transition and scrutinized them multiple times; Sol only checked twice, and both times was just like "looks great, continuing" - At first, Sol intentionally ignored my request to use image generation! It went with procedurally generated food images "for simplicity" (they looked terrible) - On the second prompt, Sol generated images, but intentionally ignored my suggestion for transparent image backgrounds, saying full photos "preserve shadows more convincingly" - Sol's used its built-in GPT Image 2 integration, which saved cost; Fable had to use the Gemini API - Sol didn't seem to know how to use Liquid Glass at all - Fable was more restrained; Sol wanted to add extra labels and detail - On the other hand, Fable decided to add an extra detail page for foods, while Sol did not - Both had nice haptics on device - Fable added a pinch dismiss gesture; Sol did not do gestures

Kimi K3 just 3 shotted a whole walkable voxel town with drivable cars — Voxelville, around $3.24 in API usage. The same token cost would be $10.80 with Fable 5 and $6 with GPT 5.6 Sol. Fable 5 built its own Maplewood, GPT 5.6 Sol built Willowwick, but on price/quality Kimi K3 just cooked both of them. The era of free indie game development is closer than you think!

here's a direct comparison between fable and sol on Three.js 3d model building. all procedurally generated, I gave a ref image only first fable vs second sol you can see what i'm talking about, on this domain fable is way better than sol, you just can't deny that

Kimi K3 beating Fable and Sol on price and quality. Command Code's internal flappy bench results are in. Really impressed with the results. For Kimi K3 we set the gameplay to hard while Fable 5 and GPT-5.6 Sol were set to easier. Cost breakdown: • Kimi K3: $0.024 •Fable 5: $0.42 •GPT-5.6 Sol: $0.15 Ranking based on DX & features: •Kimi K3: 8/10 •Fable 5: 7.5/10 • GPT-5.6 Sol: 7/10 GPT 5.6 Sol max can definitely go on longer and wins the game overall, but that's something different. Grok 4.5 beats GPT 5.6 Sol on that, lol.Mm-hmm.

GPT-5.6 Sol vs Fable 5. I put both through my hardest frontend test: a 3D globe dashboard. Same prompt. Same reference image. Sol on the left. Fable on the right. GPT-5.6 Sol is a major leap from 5.5. Fable 5 still wins on spacing, balance, and first-pass polish. For me, Sol comes close at half the cost.

GPT 5.6 Sol & Terra just made Fable 5's pricing look like a joke! We gave OpenAI's top models (Sol, Terra) and Anthropic's top models (Fable 5, Opus 4.8) the same 3 prompts: • Supernova boom • Meteor hitting a city • Solar system model The bill: Sol: $4.77 Terra: $1.24 Fable 5: $9.94 Opus 4.8: $2.46 Outputs came out surprisingly close. The prices didn't. Fable 5 cost unreasonably more than everything else, with Sol not far behind. Considering latest Fable 5 nerf, it's hard to see what you're paying for.

Did I just unlock claude-fable-5-lite? 😂 Since Fable 5 got pulled (US export control order, Anthropic is contesting it), I wanted to see how much of its character lives in the system prompt vs. the model itself. I ran the leaked Fable 5 prompt on Opus 4.8 head-to-head against stock 4.8.

Just asked Sol to download Blender, set up the MCP, and make me a realistic bat, and then make a video showcasing how it made it. We've hit a new era with Sol/Fable.

Fable 5.1 charges 6× more than GPT-5.6 Sol anthropic's Fable 5.1 went live. we threw it straight at openai's GPT-5.6 Sol. same prompts, one shot. the test: five self-contained three.js scenes, one continuous project — a futuristic mansion on a private island. exterior orbit, grand hall with a diamond chandelier, pool with a water park, garage with 10 lambos, helicopter landing on the roof cost: Claude Fable 5.1 — $5.69 GPT-5.6 Sol — $0.88 what we saw: • fable goes for realism — waves, depth, a sand ring around the island. sol goes low-poly and clean, and its style never breaks across all 5 scenes • fable's chandelier is thousands of individual crystals. sol's hall is honestly just a staircase and a wall • fable's helicopter touches down on the lit helipad much smoother than sol's • fable built a triple-slide water-park tower — and shipped the pool with no water. sol's park is tiny — but the pool is full 6× the price buys you 6× the detail — and the same one-shot bugs. what's your choice? try Fable 5.1 on aimlapi[.]com

Tested FlappyBench with GLM 5.3, Fable 5 and GPT-5.6 Sol 3 models. Same prompt with /design command. Scored on features, UX/UI, and cost. 🔹 Fable 5 → 9.5/10 · $0.420 🔹 GLM 5.3 → 9/10 · $0.018 🔹 GPT-5.6 Sol → 9/10 · $0.150 Results: → Fable 5 wins on quality, but costs 23x more than GLM 5.3 → GLM 5.3 gives better output than GPT 5.6 Sol at 8x cheaper → Optimizing for cost? Go for GLM 5.3. Otherwise, Fable 5 if quality matters

this is f**king insane Fable 5 goes away in 24 hours from Claude Code and someone just figured out how to get fable 5 reasoning in GPT 5.6 Sol with one prompt you have less than 24 hours to set this up as this takes away 20% of your usage limit here is how: 1) Paste the prompt and ask it to "make an operating manual" 2) Go the Codex App > Settings > Personalisation > Custom Instructions 3) Use GPT 5.5 / GPT 5.6 and now you have Fable 5 reasoning at 1/3 th the price save and bookmark it no matter what

We are officially in the era where one prompt can ship a complete playable game in <50 bucks! Asked Claude Fable 5 and GPT 5.6 Sol to clone Terraria, max effort level Both are playable and offer a smooth experience GPT 5.6 Sol did it at roughly 1/4 the cost and in 2/3 the runtime: - GPT 5.6 Sol: ~$35, ~1h 20m - Claude Fable 5: ~$120, ~2h Tho Fable still produced the strongest results 🥲

I asked the new GPT 5.6 Sol Ultra vs Fable XHigh to "create an app to compare the fastest growing stocks in diff time periods" Here are the results. I then asked both to create a comparison video. Sol couldn't do it, so here's what Fable made. Check out how they compare!

One shot prompt with no loops: GPT-Sol Ultra: 35,192,545 tokens used Opus 5.0 Ultracode: 1,171,676,041 tokens used Fable 5.1 Ultracode: 127,366,207 tokensused Same prompt… different results: Fable 5.1 runs at 5fps so I had to speed it up to demonstrate the rendering. Would need further optimisation. Opus 5.0 runs very nicely on first prompt. Doesn't need much in terms of performance optimisation. Just a few odd visual things here and there. My verdict: Fable looks impressive but struggles to run smoothly. Opus is a solid model when prompted properly. Sol is garbage.

Anthropic just dropped a 45-minute workshop on how to build agents with Fable 5 for 20% of it cost. "give Fable very difficult tasks - that's when you actually see the value" • 10% → 1:40 - full capabilities of Fable 5 • 30% → 11:13 - how to build evals with Fable • 55% → 13:29 - when to use Fable & Sonnet • 80% → 17:23 -how to use Fable 50% cheaper • 100% → 18:03 - Fable 5 Agents orchestration patterns This is worth more then 100 youtube with on how to use Fable 5 Watch today - then read the full playbook below ↓

Benchmarks will tell you GPT-6.1 Sol is the cheapest model by far. If you are on a subscription this is not the case. Sonnet 5.5 is currently the leader for the most usage on a $20 plan from my tests. Sol 6.1 is closely behind Sonnet 5.5 followed by Opus 5.5 and Astra 6. Usage is now great in Sol 6.1 but Sonnet 5.5 is still the leader
