Just did a quick shadow hack to avoid stretched shadows at steep light angles. During the shadow pass, I rotate the billboard toward the sun and push it along the light direction to prevent self shadowing. Works really well, so happy :> ! #gamedev #indiedev

I downloaded this clip because I was looking at the wildfire filter and saw flashes along California fault line coming from Nevada and up the California valley along the San Andreas Fault line. I just ran across it and what caught my eye is a shadow of something travelling from top left to down bottom left side of the screen. Is that a cloud making the shadow? What is it? Anyways, tell me what you think.
