Total holdings are now valued around $2.53B at current prices. But the company's overall average cost across its full stack sits near $94,900 per BTC, well above where Bitcoin is trading today near $61,000. That gap is showing up in the stock too. Metaplanet's mNAV, the ratio of market value to actual Bitcoin holdings, recently dipped to about 0.92x. CEO Simon Gerovich (Simon Gerovich) says the firm will consider share buybacks if that discount to net asset value persists. Long-term target: 1% of Bitcoin's total supply, roughly 210,000 BTC. The current stack puts Metaplanet Inc. about a fifth of the way there.
