Today BJP West Bengal MLAs held a Dharna at Burtolla Police Station, condemning the abominable role of Kolkata Police in harassing Late Pankaj Dutta; a vocal critic of Mamata Banerjee Govt. The Retired IPS Officer, who retired as the Inspector General of West Bengal Police in 2011, was subjected to harassment at the behest of CP Kolkata Shri Manoj Kumar Verma (IPS), who was following the instructions of Mamata Banerjee. Late Pankaj Dutta; was renowned for detecting loopholes in various Police Investigations and was often critical towards Police atrocities. After the RG Kar incident, Shri Pankaj Dutta condemned the approach of Kolkata Police. After that, he was summoned by the Burtolla Police Station. Diamond Harbour Model The disgraceful incident of vandalism at the Shiva Temple in Ward No. 7, Maheshtala, under Metiabruz Assembly constituency, near Rabindra Nagar Police Station is simply unacceptable. Miscreants had illegally encroached upon Temple Committee land, set up shops, when confronted violently attacked the sacred Tulsi Manch, nearby Hindu shops, homes, and the Temple itself. This blatant assault by the hundred of Jehadis on our religious places cannot be tolerated. What's astonishing is that the incident happened at a stone's throw distance from the Rabindra Nagar Police Station, under the watch of IC Mukul Mia and SDPO Kamrujjaman Molla. The Police simply couldn't block the vandals and the entire episode happened in the presence of Police. I would like to strongly urge DGP West Bengal Police Rajeev Kumar to take immediate and strict action against the perpetrators and the erring Police Personnels who failed to do their duty, ensure the restoration of the Temple premises, and provide security to the affected residents. The continuous reluctance of the WB Police in taking action against miscreants who indulge in vandalism of Sanatani Temples have emboldened them to target the Sanatani Community over and over again. These criminals should be punished approximately as per the provisions of Law so that it deters other miscreants in the future.

The team of Santanu Sinha Biswas; Coordinator and Bijitaswa Rout; Convenor of Kolkata & West Bengal Police Welfare Committee have been allocated the task to ensure that all the Votes cast by the Police Personnel are in the favour of the TMC Party. The Police Personnel can't even exercise their free will and vote for a Candidate whom they personally want to vote for. The West Bengal Police Welfare Committee is nothing but just an extension of the TMC, as if, it is the unofficial Union of the Police Personnel, bearing allegiance to the TMC Party. The videos were widely viral but the jobless Kolkata Police spent hours in Madhyom’s office, confiscated hard disks and ‘interrogated’ the reporter, endlessly.
