Today I start 34 radiation sessions over 7 weeks, every day except holidays. A bit nervous, but hopeful this will sort out the skin cancer so we can focus on fighting the bone marrow cancer. I feel good and it’s a beautiful day to begin. No Retreat. No Surrender. 💪

I still train like I’m competing but I’m not. I never did this with winning as my goal. I just love lifting and pushing my body. Same reason I love sprints and Tabata. Same reason I boxed. And now it’s pushed again—to 18th April. Still, no approval. No surgery. I’m still here, in this hospital bed. Day and night. Patient and hopeful. But that is another bill on top of another, daily. With metal rods pulling at my leg. And a hip crying out for relief. It’s a heart tired of waiting.
