1 we've shipped @claude_code provider support, which is now available for Taskmaster ops without the need for an Anthropic API key → CLI integration for Opus and Sonnet models → uses your Claude Code client for Taskamster ops → totally optional s/o @neno_is_ooo @RalphEcom

you can setup Claude Code as your provider through either the CLI or the MCP → CLI: use the `models` command with --claude-code → MCP: simply tell the agent to set your model using the claude-code provider → telemetry details will indicate $0.00 cost for taskmaster commands

+ we're gonna push a patch this week which also adds several slash commands within the @claude_code user experience greatly improving the IDE's ability to manipulate your tasks, update them, research them and complete them FYI is included this release

2 improvements were made to the `init` experience so you can select which rules you want to import into the IDE → zero project folder pollution → pick only the rules you will actually use → we'll keep expanding the available rulesets over time s/o @JoeDanz, excellent work

you can manage rules easily with the `rules` command, which lets you add or remove rules at will → CLI: `task-master rules add/remove/setup` → MCP: simply tell the agent to add/remove rules → interactive rules setup now runs during project initialization (task-master init).

3 expanded support for customer provider URLS → configure custom provider URLs in config.json → <PROVIDER>_BASE_URL → i.e. OPENAI_BASE_URL this should resolve any lingering issues our friends in WSL and behind proxies in geographies where AI providers may be unavailable

@claude_code @cursor_ai @windsurf_ai @roo_code @cline @code @Trae_ai Awesome! Could you make a "SIMPLE" video showing how we can use this Claude code and Taskmaster AI setup on an existing big code base? From what I can see, Taskmaster seems to work fine for a project that a user is building from scratch, and it creates a lot of tasks.
