1 we've shipped @claude_code provider support, which is now available for Taskmaster ops without the need for an Anthropic API key โ†’ CLI integration for Opus and Sonnet models โ†’ uses your Claude Code client for Taskamster ops โ†’ totally optional s/o @neno_is_ooo @RalphEcom

you can setup Claude Code as your provider through either the CLI or the MCP โ†’ CLI: use the `models` command with --claude-code โ†’ MCP: simply tell the agent to set your model using the claude-code provider โ†’ telemetry details will indicate $0.00 cost for taskmaster commands

+ we're gonna push a patch this week which also adds several slash commands within the @claude_code user experience greatly improving the IDE's ability to manipulate your tasks, update them, research them and complete them FYI is included this release

2 improvements were made to the `init` experience so you can select which rules you want to import into the IDE โ†’ zero project folder pollution โ†’ pick only the rules you will actually use โ†’ we'll keep expanding the available rulesets over time s/o @JoeDanz, excellent work

Eyal Toledano ็š„ๅคดๅƒ
Eyal Toledano1 ๅนดๅ‰

you can manage rules easily with the `rules` command, which lets you add or remove rules at will โ†’ CLI: `task-master rules add/remove/setup` โ†’ MCP: simply tell the agent to add/remove rules โ†’ interactive rules setup now runs during project initialization (task-master init).

3 expanded support for customer provider URLS โ†’ configure custom provider URLs in config.json โ†’ <PROVIDER>_BASE_URL โ†’ i.e. OPENAI_BASE_URL this should resolve any lingering issues our friends in WSL and behind proxies in geographies where AI providers may be unavailable

@claude_code @cursor_ai @windsurf_ai @roo_code @cline @code @Trae_ai Awesome! Could you make a "SIMPLE" video showing how we can use this Claude code and Taskmaster AI setup on an existing big code base? From what I can see, Taskmaster seems to work fine for a project that a user is building from scratch, and it creates a lot of tasks.

AgentRouter is handing out $125 in FREE API credits for OPUS 4.8 > No card. > GitHub sign-in. > One API key for Opus 4.8 / Opus 4.7 / Sonnet 4.6 / GLM 5.1 The useful part is not โ€œanother model gateway.โ€ It is that you can point coding tools and agents at one OpenAI-compatible base URL instead of juggling separate keys for Claude and GLM, and others. What you get: โ€ข $125 signup balance โ€ข one API key โ€ข OpenAI-compatible endpoints โ€ข chat, responses, messages, embeddings, images, audio, rerank endpoints listed โ€ข claimed support for Cursor, Claude Code, Hermes, and other agent tools The flow is simple: 1. go to AgentRouter (link in comment) 2. sign in or create an account 3. generate an API key in the console 4. copy the base URL 5. paste it into Cursor / Claude Code / your agent runtime 6. run a small test before moving anything serious Caveat: AgentRouterโ€™s own site currently has a notice saying Claude-series service was recently hit by stability issues and large-scale Claude access was suspended. So donโ€™t treat this as โ€œguaranteed free Claude forever.โ€ Treat it as $125 of free routing credits to test which models are live, how the latency feels, and whether the gateway is stable enough for your workflow. Still a very solid save if you build with agents. Most people burn paid API credits just testing configs. This gives you room to test first, then decide if it belongs in your stack.
