Why not extend this to the Americans of Irish descent? Americans may not be perfect, but those like me, with Irish ancestry are very proud of our heritage and are very interested in the Irish culture, traditions and history. Why offer this to people who have absolutely no intentions of assimilating or even associating with the Irish people?
