There’s something unique about the Word of God. Researchers had people read different types of books. History. Engineering. The Quran. The Bible. When they studied what was happening in the brain, only one book consistently changed the synapse connections. The Bible. This is why believers throughout history have said the Word of God is alive. It doesn’t just give information. The Holy Spirit uses it to transform us. I’ve been a Christian for 47 years, and I still open my Bible and find the Spirit of God revealing things that stop me in my tracks. Just recently I was reading Hebrews 2 and could barely move on because of what the Lord was showing me. This is what happens when we approach Scripture with hunger and humility. The Word of God shapes us, renews us, and prepares us for the life He’s called us to live. Follow this link to watch the full episode!

Some people say Christians are happy about war in the Middle East because we want to see Armageddon happen. Nothing could be further from the truth. We want peace. In fact, the Bible specifically tells us to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem.” Our desire is not conflict, but that people across the region would experience freedom—especially the freedom to worship God. We pray for the people of Israel and the people of Iran alike—that there would be a genuine spiritual awakening and that many would come to Christ. After all, so much of the history of the Bible unfolded in that very part of the world, and Scripture tells us that Jesus Himself will one day return to the Mount of Olives. Let’s all do what Scripture calls us to do: pray—for peace, for freedom, and for hearts to turn to God.

A Christian cannot be under a curse....but, if you don't know, it would not work. The only Christian who can live as though under a curse is the one who ignores or disdains the Word of God. To neglect, reject, or despise the Word is to step out from the covering of divine truth, and that, in itself, becomes a curse for, the Bible says, “Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed...” (Proverbs 13: 13). Minister of Justice Sean Fraser was asked about Bill C-9 today and the possibility of the amendment to strip the Criminal Code of the protection for free religious speech in Canada. For the record, here is his full statement. While we appreciate that Minister Fraser thinks that the amendment to strip the good-faith religious text exemption will have no real implication on religious and individual freedom, we respectfully disagree. Among other factors, there would be no reason to strip the exemption at all in the first place if doing so had zero effect of the Criminal Code. We need more consultation on Bill C-9. All Canadians and concerned communities must be heard. We must protect freedom and free expression.
