I thought he'd get a team killing ban and be locked out of ranked for an hour if I allowed it to kill me, this was already my 2nd game with him and I wasn't looking for a 3rd.

Even as someone who plays on console siege and isn't popular in the space Getting team killed is so common it's frustrating. I don't get why the reverse friendly fire isn't always on. It's super annoying dying to a troll teammate. Oh and the console anti cheat needs a buff.

Don’t understand why people are like this but then again my first game back on this new season I had a toxic teammate on rank yelling all game because I didn’t wiggle pick like skittles in my 1v3 first round (he was always the first one dead)
