Idk how they make grabbing a fish so easy. I’ve literally sat in a stream of fish, trying to grab just one an failed miserably. Which we have nets and tools but they’re so smooth naturally.

After fledging, which occurs around 12-13 weeks of age, young eagles spend considerable time observing their parents and learning from them. It takes about 4-12 weeks for young eagles to start hunting successfully, and specialized hunting skills probably take years to develop. During their first year, juvenile eagles often feed on carrion or dead animals until they become proficient hunters. As they grow, they begin learning to catch live prey, expanding the habitat types they can use. Three-year-old immature bald eagles start frequenting areas with concentrations of waterfowl, where they refine their hunting skills alongside experienced adults. Adult eagles continue to provide food for their fledglings for 4-6 weeks post-fledging, helping them hone their flight and hunting skills. Juvenile eagles have poor skills at this early stage, so they depend on their parents for food. As they gain experience and improve their hunting abilities, they become more independent and capable of surviving on their own.
