“Less developed astral nature,”: •less individualized astral-body •more group-soul consciousness •stronger dream-like connection to nature beings •less “separation” between self and environment Its not about intelligence or worth — it was about a different soul-configuration. ⸻ MTraditional, nature-integrated peoples = stronger etheric forces, less individualized astral. indigenous and polar-region peoples as: •having powerful etheric vitality •living closely with elemental forces •having a more “dreamlike,” imaginal relationship with the world •not yet fragmented by modern self-consciousness This is contrasted this with modern Europeans, whose astral bodies are: •more individualized •more separated from nature •more intellectualized •more self-conscious ⸻ This is compared to how children have spiritual clarity adults lose — not “less than,” but different in developmental rhythm. ⸻ “Group-soul” consciousness group-soul traits: •identity linked strongly to tribe, land, ancestors •deep instinctive wisdom •profound connection to natural spirits •less sharp individual differentiation This was not a biological claim — it was about the astral body being woven into collective forces rather than individualized ego forces. ⸻ Steiner absolutely rejected the idea that “developed astrally” means “more valuable.” In fact, he said modern Westerners with highly developed astral bodies are often: •cold •materialistic •cut off from nature •spiritually numb while traditional peoples often preserve: •reverence •moral clarity •connection to the spiritual world •healthy etheric life He often said these cultures carry soul-wisdom modern cultures desperately need.

These people in the video live across the Arctic. They call themselves Inuit or Yupik, and outsiders long identified them by the name "Eskimo" that many now reject. The amauti, which is a woman's parka with a built-in baby pouch, kept infants warm and close on hunting trips, and artisans still sew those garments by hand in many communities today. Some Algonquian words that early visitors recorded suggested a meaning like "eats raw meat," and that usage helped make the term "Eskimo" take on a derogatory tone among many Indigenous people. Leaders at the Inuit Circumpolar Conference chose the name Inuit in the 1970s, and governments in parts of Canada now use Inuit as an official designation for northern Indigenous peoples.

The beautiful part is that the kids don't know any different. They were born into that life and it's all they know.

Huskies are well-adapted to extreme cold due to their thick double coat, which insulates and repels snow. Their fur also covers ears and tails, aiding in heat retention. They regulate body temperature efficiently, using their bushy tails like scarves to trap warm air while sleeping. Their paws feature a countercurrent heat exchange system to minimize heat loss. These adaptations, along with their endurance, enable huskies to thrive in harsh climates.

I recall seeing this documentary in school, remember watching her light an oil fat lamp for heat that was made up of maybe 8 flames. Toughest people alive. I'd be dead the first night in the artic.

–40 °C isn’t just cold. It’s a test of will, preparation and respect for nature. Surviving it takes more than grit alone: right clothes, shelter, warmth, hydration, and constant awareness. Those who´ve done it know how fragile warmth is when the cold gets real.

It’s crazy how the human body adapts. At –40°C it’s not just clothing it’s mindset, discipline, and knowing exactly how to move or you won’t last long.

i've heard that they don't live like this. They used to, but like 100+ years ago. The documentary was kinda staged to make them look more tribal just for the stereotype and the "traditions" They had houses, firearms and stuff
