People are casually flexing linguistic power like they have a monopoly on inclusivity. You know, just casually dismissing anyone who’s not fluent in the ‘secret code.’ As if speaking a language is the only thing that defines your identity in a place. Hindi imposition? Nah, but this is more like Marathi Imposition. Just another step in the growing trend of regional superiority. Because why just focus on building bridges, when you can build walls, right? It’s quite impressive how we’ve evolved from respecting diversity to now deciding who can and can’t exist in a space based on what language they speak. As if somehow, the value of a person is directly tied to their linguistic skills. Forget all the other qualities whether you’re kind, intelligent, or have any contribution to society it all boils down to speaking Marathi now. next, we’ll have language exams at the entrance of every mall and restaurant, just to be sure you belong! But here’s a little mirror for you, Does your language define your respect for others? Or is it your willingness to embrace and respect their differences that truly matters? It’s sad how we’ve mistaken pride for exclusion. Funny, isn’t it? How people who claim to uphold culture, often end up suffocating
