Fernando Alonso was so right about the biased British F1 media. As a non-Brit, you have to fight twice as hard; against the drivers and against the biased British media. It has actually gotten worse. Not only do Max and Alonso have to fight against British drivers on the track, but also against the British media and British stewards like Johnny Herbert. Alonso vs George Russell in Australia. No contact at all, yet Alonso gets a penalty. The steward: Johnny Herbert. Max vs Lando last weekend: Max gets a penalty for 'intimidating drivers'. The steward: Johnny Herbert. Imagine if Johnny Herbert was a Dutch steward who kept penalizing Lando, George, and Lewis. Or if a Swiss referee was appointed to officiate the football match between England and Switzerland on Saturday.

What do you do now? Papaya rules, you know, you've got - Max is now 12 points behind, Oscar's 16 points behind, Lando needs to finish on the podium. Do you now have to change away from this? Sky Sports UK's analysis of the Ferraris' race start: Karun Chandhok: "I think there’s a good argument to say [Charles] should have given a place back, but Ferrari were never going to argue that point. I think if it was two different teams, absolutely! If Lewis was still at Mercedes, Ferrari would have been absolutely in an argument with the officials and Mercedes would have been shooting about giving the place up." Simon Lazenby: "It does come down to control of car as well, when you are looking at driving standard guidelines, and actually Lewis is in control and Charles is not." Karun: "Having seen that [replay], I think Jamie [Chadwick] might have a point. Crofty [David Croft] up in commentary as well was pretty adamant that Charles should have been penalised. It’s the first time we’ve had a chance to see these angles and really understand it. The stewards would have had this during the race and decided not to look at it. Obviously Ferrari wouldn’t have complained. But having seen that, I do see that point." Jacques Villeneuve: "Definitely, because when he decided to floor it, he was behind Lewis. Lando and George’s thoughts on Lewis getting his first win in red: Lando: “I think pretty cool. It’s pretty special. It’s nice. You know, the last few weekends he’s certainly seemed to have upped his game and as much as it, yeah, was something we once could kind of take advantage of and try and make the most of, it seems like he’s making the most of what he’s got now, and that’s cool to see. I grew up as a fan of Lewis and I don’t know if I would still say I’m like that kind of fan, but I’m still a fan of him. And as a seven-time World Champion, it’s always a pleasure to see those kinds of things. And with Ferrari again, it’s even cooler to kind of see that partnership come through and kind of pay dividends, as it is doing now. So, yeah, special. He goes to the bottom of the stairs and he stopped and then he turned around and he went back upstairs. He's forgotten something, didn't think much of it." "He came back down about 10 minutes later and he grabbed a guy that works with the team - Carlos. And you could see that Lewis was really quite emotional. “Can British fans expect an even stronger Lando Norris this season? We've obviously seen a fair amount of self-doubt from him in the past. Will the states of World Champion help him be even more confident this year?” Andrea Stella: “I think Lando will definitely be stronger in 2026 and not necessarily because he was the champion in 25 but because of this logic of growth that is adopted by the team, but is also adopted by our drivers. So I expect as well Oscar to be faster, stronger and even more complete year by year independently that the 2025 season unfolded like it did. Just every race is an opportunity to learn, every race is an opportunity to become better and better. I see really great work already happening with our drivers, great conversations, lots of energy, lots of hours and days at the simulator to learn about the 2026 chassis and power unit. So, I think the drivers are definitely preparing theirself at the best and they are looking forwards like us all to finally put the car on the ground and start the 2025 seasons.”

very well said by lando 👏🏻 🗣️: in your opinion, who has delivered the best performance in the first half, considering the opportunities and machinery each driver has had? lando: "i think we should probably all just say ourselves. i feel like you can't really compare these things. you can't really compare teams against teams. i think you have to say kimi as a complete- they have a great car and he's done an incredible job. he's been convincingly beating his teammate every single weekend. so when you're talking about a championship, you have to give credit to kimi. but when i have a good car like today, i feel like no one's going to beat me. so yeah, we'll probably all say each other [ourselves], but it just depends on how good the car is and things like that. i think you have in front of you three of the best drivers in formula 1. there are still plenty of others, but it's impossible to really compare these things. everyone sat here is doing an incredible job and probably getting the most out of their car. that's all you can really ask for.”
