This shows that how marginal this game, how competitive this game is, which is obviously also a message to - at least for us, we said it's a message for us to do better because we would like to be slightly more comfortable in the future.”

How do you reflect on 2025?” Oscar: “A season of ups and downs, I think. Firstly, it's good to see everybody again. It's been a while since I've seen you all. So, good to see you all again. "F1 has become very popular. what do you think about this change?" lando: "formula one in 2019 was just a very closed sport. you really didn't see much about the people, the drivers, the mechanics, the engineers. you really just saw the show on tv. you saw the racing, and really that was about it. now formula one is a lot more open. there's a lot more fans in the races and paddock. everything i do now, people see. it's on tv, netflix, different series, youtube, it's on every piece of social media, which allows it to grow in a much better way. and i think you see some more fans now that love the people, they love the drivers. they can understand more and relate more to the personalities of each driver in formula one. because it was a very male dominated sport. now most of my fans actually are female and that's an amazing thing that we're able to attract and bring in a younger generation, because they are the future of formula one, and also more variation. so it's a pleasure to be part of that journey"

Which driver did you look up to while growing up? Oscar Piastri: [As] I understand more about racing though, I would say Lewis [Hamilton] mainly. I think the way he goes about things on and off the track is, you know, quite exceptional. And I think the end of last season [2021], you know, the way he kind of handled all of that, especially immediately after the race and the post-race interviews was nothing short of remarkable. Like, I was really impressed with that because I certainly would have been able to stay so calm. And because talent is intrinsic and you cant teach it, you cant bring Oscar up to Lando’s level. But what you CAN do is pull Lando down to Oscar’s level. This is all very obvious through McLaren’s communication and their race strategy this season. Stella mentioned that its because Oscar missed 12 minutes of practice as to why he didn’t have the pace during qualifying. And its true, less practice harms deployment. But Lando has been missing practice after practice after practice this season and not a measly 12 minutes but entire sessions. And yet the communication from McLaren was very different. And I think that’s intentional, because now where Oscar is concerned it more so seems that the car, not the driver, is at fault. Whereas its the opposite when it comes to Lando. George: “Formula 1 is bigger than any driver. So, you know, you wouldn't want to lose Max because I think we all enjoy racing against Max. And it's just part and parcel of Formula 1. I didn't enjoy driving the 22 car when it was porpoising up and down, killing everybody's backs. The car was big, it was heavy, the high speed corners, it wasn't very pleasant to drive around. But he didn't have the same complaint because he was winning. Now, the complaints that he has currently are different to the complaints of Mercedes, Ferrari and McLaren because we're at the front end of the grid. And this is only natural, and you do understand and recognise the frustration but he's achieved what most drivers dream of which is winning a championship. He's got 4 of them. And at the end of the day, I guess you get to a point in life that you want- there's not really much more for him to achieve in Formula 1. You know, he's ticked all the boxes, maybe he can go after the records, but knowing him as I do and knowing drivers who have won or achieved similar things; at one point, you want to do what puts a smile on your face. And if driving the Nordschleife- I can totally understand why driving the Nordschleife puts a smile on his face. You know, I've driven hundreds of laps around the Nordschleife on the simulator. And I would love to have that chance to go and race around the Nordschleife. But my goal now is to become a Formula 1 world champion. If I have 4 of them under my belt, I'd probably be doing the same. So, you know, he's in a very different stage of his career. And yeah, I think you'd understand if he stayed and you'd understand if he weren't."
