@AjazRasoolEPG @FarooqKuthoo @wangnoo_manzoor @FaizBakshiEPG @diprjk Do whatever you like, nobody is going to listen. I hammered the J&K administration for two years as the chairman of the environment committee and submitted a comprehensive 250-page report prepared in consultation with experts to the government. It never saw the light of day!

You may criticise this man but on this issue he has raised a very important and genuine concern. What he has highlighted cannot simply be dismissed. Our water bodies are being encroached upon and filled up by land grabbers. Have we learnt nothing from the 2014 floods? Did we not see what happened in Nepal recently? When we play with nature, nature eventually plays back. Wake up before it is too late. And where is the J&K LCMA (LAWDA) sleeping. Where are the so-called environmental activists? How long will we remain silent while our water bodies are destroyed? Manzoor Wangnoo Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat Office of Chief Minister, J&K Greater Kashmir

ANI | On the viral video of a mob tarnishing the national emblem on the foundation stone of the Hazratbal Shrine, BJP leader and Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board, Dr Darakshan Andrabi says, "This incident is very unfortunate. Tarnishing the national emblem is a terrorist attack, and the attackers are the goons of a political party. These people destroyed Kashmir earlier as well, and now they have openly come inside the Dargah Sharif. Our administrator had a narrow escape. The mob attacked him as well... This mob has committed a huge crime by tarnishing the national emblem. They have damaged the dignity of the dargah, and once they are identified, they will be banned from entering the dargah for life, and an FIR will be filed against them." Any attempt to change the important days in Islamic calendar of J&K like during the month of Rabiul awal recently will be strongly resisted by the people .The attempt to politicise this religious issue will not be accepted by the Muslims of J&K. He also sought answers from the J&K administration as to why the historic Jamia Masjid is closed on important religious occasion including Shab-e-Qadr, Rabi-ul Awal, Jumat-ul-Vida etc. “Cant you see how people of Kashmir cooperate in the religious festivals of other communities. Don’t you see how we cooperate to make Amarnath Yatra a grand success? Why is Jamia being locked and prayers disallowed when it is Islamic occasion? | #Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir

VIDEO | Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Chief Farooq Abdullah holds protest in the national capital for J&K statehood. J&K Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary, says, "It is the misfortune of the people of Jammu and Kashmir that today we have to come to Delhi to protest and remind our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah of their promise. You promised the people of Jammu and Kashmir that you would restore statehood after the elections. Today, it has been nearly a year and a half, and neither the Prime Minister nor the Home Minister has fulfilled that promise. To make them honor that commitment, the National Conference, the Congress, and all our other partner parties have come together to Delhi today to remind them that after nearly a year and a half since the Omar Abdullah government was formed, yet you are not fulfilling your promise.' You will have to fulfill this promise. You made it in Parliament, you made it in the Supreme Court, and you made it to every single child in Jammu and Kashmir that you would restore statehood. When will that 'appropriate time' of yours finally come? We have come to Delhi today just to find out the answer to this." (Full video available on PTI Videos -
