The first baseman fields it but the runner from first never leaves the bag to run to second base. The first baseman tags the runner on first while he is still on first base and then tags the base with his foot. Thoughts on the final play: 1. Alijah Martin and Will Richard were elite on this play. Great ball pressure and made Uzan/Cryer catch the ball way deeper than they wanted. 2. Sharp was open. Clayton got caught sleeping. He was ready for the pass but Cryer couldn't get it there quick enough bc of Richard's length 3. Great recovery from Clayton to contest. Sharp did have time to shot fake and take a dribble. But I don' think he saw Clayton until he had already started to elevate for the shot
