Real talk: I’ve watched plenty of videos of women saying they felt instantly better after their breast implant removal op (like the veil of doom lifted the moment the anaesthesia wore off) but I was sceptical. Surely this must be exaggerated? Lo and behold, I feel better 24 hours after surgery than I did before going under the knife. My mind is clear, my focus is sharp, and my energy is through the roof. I genuinely can’t believe it??? I went for breakfast at my favourite hotel, then took a 40 minute walk. Maxx energy. I’m already back at work and more productive than usual. Zero pain or discomfort too. Placebo? I don’t know. But breast implant illness is real, and especially after my implant ruptured, I started experiencing a whole host of health issues: some documented here, some never even mentioned. I was living in a near-constant haze of brain fog. Some days were genuinely brutal, and it weighed heavily on both my professional and personal life. And now it’s gone. I almost don’t want to say it out loud in case I jinx it lol I’ll keep reporting as I go. These things need to be said. More women deserve to know the truth about the dangers of breast implants; all the ins, outs and everything nobody tells you. For now, let me enjoy my poison-free, über-energetic life lol. Love you all :)))

Today I’m sharing an update about a patient many of you remember, the woman who drove hours across Texas after her radiated implants became infected and no one near her would take her insurance. We removed her infected implants to protect her health. It was urgent. It was necessary. It was absolutely medically indicated. And yet… her insurance company sent her a letter denying the surgery, claiming it was not medically necessary. This is the reality too many women face after breast cancer: fighting infections, managing complications, and then having to battle an insurance company that should be advocating for their care. When insurers decide they know better than the surgeon at the bedside and the patient in pain, something is profoundly broken. To my patient: thank you for your strength and for trusting me. To everyone watching: we’re going to keep pushing for a system that listens to doctors and protects patients.

I find it astonishing that the public did not care about the mutilation of women's healthy breasts until the trans issue became criticized - that the experimentation on the healthy bodies of women and girls, being surgically harmed for no reason other than sexual objectification, was not contested when it was being done for pornographic purposes. For over three decades in the US silicone injections and breast implants were sold to women - many of whom developed brain cancer, or breast cancer, or died as a direct result - and not a single peer-reviewed study was released during that time on how this impacted women's health. Historically this issue was repeatedly addressed - women had suffered immensely - but it was not taken seriously. In this video from 2005, the then President of the National Organization for Women, Kim Gandy, criticized FDA Commissioner Lester M. Crawford during a press conference: "Lester Crawford is a veterinarian, but at the FDA, he's treating women like dogs." The single experiment conducted before breast implants were performed on women was done on a female dog, and the implant removed two weeks after; then, the surgeons declared the procedure to be "as harmless as water."

Kimberly McCormick is fuming after she is left with $75,000 in expected bills after a Mexico plastic surgery center performed the wrong surgery on her. It’s been more than 20 years since media headlines about the Women’s Health Initiative study incorrectly linked HRT to an increased risk of breast cancer, but even today many women still avoid HRT because of perceived breast cancer fears. This misinformation is really damaging to women’s health, so on my podcast this week I invited Dr Avrum Bluming to join me. Avrum is a leading US oncologist and has spent 25 years studying the benefits and risks of HRT in breast cancer survivors. As you’ll hear in the episode, Avrum tells me about more recent studies that have shown that oestrogen alone decreases the risk of breast cancer development by 23% and the risk of death from breast cancer by 40%. Yet many people still do not realise this.
