Eric Hartman 3/6 with a double, 2 stolen bases and 2 rbis. The ball absolutely explodes off his bat. He catches up to velo (he absolutely destroyed a 96 mph foul ball in his last at bat before the single) and stays back and through the off speed really well. His speed is top end. The way he can drive with his exit velos and his speed and glove already has him up into my top 10 prosects early in the year. .312 with a 1.030 OPS 5 Doubles 1 Triple 8 Home runs 10 Stolen bases in 23 games. And again.....he's only 19 years old.

Kendall George had 2 infield hits tonight, then bunted for a base hit as well. The Loons have been on the road for the last 2 series, and George had 19 hits on the road trip. That spanned 11 games. I love watching this dude play! It's just electric watching him find ways to use his speed. Most folks like to watch Tanks, and I do too, but watching his speed is something you don't see very often. #dodgers

Eric Hartman - This is why I realistically cannot have him anywhere but number 1 on my top 30 prospect list. Even when he is not driving the ball, he ALWAYS affects the game, as today with this infield single he burned up the line for and his 27th and 28th stolen bases to put him in position to score on the Dixon Williams single. He just affects the game everywhere he goes. At this moment he is hitting .300/.363/ with a .940 OPS. 18 home runs and 45 Rbis with 50 runs.

Congrats to Ryan Ward for having his contract selected and being placed on the Dodgers' 40 Man Roster. Wardo was awarded as the Most Valuable Player in the PCL this past season after hitting .290, with an OPS of .937. He posted a WRC+ of 132, and his 36 home runs led ALL of the Minor Leagues During this season he also became the ALL-TIME home runs leader (90) and RBIs (318) in the history of the Bricktown Ballpark Era for OKC baseball. On a personal note, I've been going to AAA OKC games since 1975. That dates back to All-Sports stadium, and 6 different affiliation changes, 5 of which have been in my lifetime, and that I remember VERY well. So, to see this with my own eyes was truly historical on a personal level for me as well. #89ERS And, to have it happen in the first year of the new branding was a real "page turner" of OKC baseball, so that's SUPER cool too. Ward also drove in 122 runs, which is the most of ANY player in the PCL since 2010, and racked up the most total bases (315) of any player in the PCL since 2001. Ward also set single-season records for the Bricktown era in hits (164), runs (113), and RBIs (122). As per his defense... His outfield play has gotten better and better as each year has passed, and, while his bat will likely always be the"show stealer", he is a good athlete and has become a very solid outfielder. He can also play 1st base, and dabbled in a touch of 2nd base while at Bryant Baseball Speaking of Bryant, he's the only Bulldog ever to hit over .400 for a single season, and he struck out just 1 time his senior Season at Millbury, so the "hit tool" is NOT a new thing for him. As an aside, he graduated with fewer than 100 kids in his High School, and he is not shy to show pride in his "small town" work ethic. With all the home runs over the fence, his highlight of last year was an at-bat where he kept the ball IN the park. Wardo knocked an INSIDE-the-park WALKOFF home run back at the beginning of May. The offense exploded for 18 hits, including 6 extra base hits, which included 3 home runs. Always include the III when saying his name, because he's super proud of his last name. Also, by his description, he's not necessarily a "great athlete", but he will surprise you with how effective he is using the athletic ability he has. And, he is very analytical, but only uses analytics when something doesn't feel right, or to confirm when things are, when the data backs up the feel. Great dude, as self-aware as you could possibly want, and there are times when he makes hitting look way too easy. He stays on top of the high pitch, then turns the barrel to everything else, and it's a very satisfying process to watch. #dodgers
