Kentucky workers should be protected by Kentucky rules and regulations. House Bill 398 would weaken safety standards. I vetoed this bill because our workers deserve the security of a safe workplace.

Absolutely! I get multiple work I injury claims everyday-this drive up insurance costs and encourage additional disability claims. I don’t understand the GOP? What purpose does this bill actually have?

A construction site should not be sitting empty because workers are afraid to show up. Families in South Texas need housing, businesses need workers, and our communities need projects like this to move forward. I have long supported strong border security, but enforcement should be targeted at criminals and real threats to public safety. When workers are scared, projects get delayed, costs go up, and local economies feel it. We need smart, targeted enforcement that keeps our communities safe without hurting the workers, families, and businesses that help build South Texas.

The safety of workers is critical and so are the facts. There’s been a lot said about the CFMEU and Victorian workers this week. We stand firmly for workers’ rights. For fair pay, safe workplaces, and secure conditions. No one should fear having their wages cut or their hard-earned entitlements clawed back. And we can’t let this serious issue be the subject of untested and unfounded information. Victorians deserve honesty and workers deserve protection, not political games and the deep desire of the Liberals to claw back workers pay and conditions.

Kentucky is one of only a few states that require teenagers be 16 for their learner's permit. House Bill 15 will change that age to 15. I signed this bill knowing it will help working families better juggle all of life's activities. I may have gotten pressure from Will and Lila.
