A friend of mine just recently got his first gun, a striker fired Glock 19. He is terrified to leave a round chambered. To anyone reading this who has this same fear, I want to alleviate your concerns. I'm going to explain why there is nothing to be afraid of. First and foremost, I fully understand your concern. It's not irrational. And you're not stupid for being nervous about a bullet being aimed at your leg with the striker cocked back under spring tension about an 1/8 of an inch from the primer. I get it. I shared this concern when I was new to carrying. But your fear is due to a lack of understanding of the internal safety features of a modern striker fired handgun. On a properly maintained modern striker fired pistol the striker CANNOT hit the primer on the chambered round without the trigger being pulled. Can't. Not shouldn't. Can't. (If you have any good Sig P320 jokes, this is the proper place to share them) There is a block that the striker will hit and stop if it is released without the trigger being depressed. It works just like a lock and key. There is a channel in the blocker that the striker can pass through if it is in the fire position. It only goes into the fire position if the trigger is pulled which pushes the blocker into the fire position. A spring keeps the blocker firmly in the block position until then. The blocker is a solid piece of steel that won't break. And if your gun is securely in a hard sided Kydex holster nothing can move the trigger unless it is unholstered. Many guns like Glocks have a trigger safety that prevents the trigger from moving due to force of dropping. Your finger has to be on the trigger safety to move it. So the gun cannot fire unless you pull the trigger. And it's easy for you to test this safety feature to see how it works! See the video below. You can try to push the striker forward by moving that piece at the back of the slide forward. That piece is the back of the striker. Push it forward and it will stop. The tip won't come out through the breach. You see it trying to come through but it gets stuck. Now push that little button in. That is the actual blocker. When you push it in you will now be able to move the striker forward through the breach and see how it will strike the primer. You can test this easily every time you disassemble your pistol to verify it is still working. You can break this safety feature by removing the blocker or losing the spring. But if it's there it will work. (You would be the first person in firearms history who has ever lost a spring. Literally the first one. It has never happened before. 😐) But it doesn't come out as part of regular maintenance. You have to disassemble the firing assembly to get it out. That won't happen by accident. And if you do that on purpose you should do this blocker test when you reassemble it to make sure the safety feature is working. My video shows a Glock slide. All Glocks will look like this. Other brands may put the blocker in a different spot or it may be a slightly different shape. But they all (mostly) have the same design. If you test yours as demonstrated and it works like mine does, your gun WILL NOT fire without pulling the trigger. (If you just thought of another P320 joke, this is another good place to toss that out there)

So often when discussing training / dryfire / shooting its like we are speaking 2 different languages. There are key concepts that some people are either unaware of, or choose to ignore that preclude having a productive discussion. For example if I were to say "slapping or smashing your trigger is perfectly fine for most shots" a bunch of people would be up in arms, talking about slowly working to the wall, letting the shot surprise you, etc. Experienced, performance-focused shooters will know that with a good grip or mount, I am right, and that how you mechanically move the trigger isnt super important. When you get to low %, or distance shots, you are increasing your level of confirmation of your dot or sights, and the trigger pull is maybe 10-15% slower. This is a video of me, absolutely smashing the trigger with 2-3x the force needed. Its not as stable as i would like, but im also having to straddle 2 tripods to get this shot lined up...🤣

I'm now convinced based on this video that the second and third shots were just as justified as the first. We can see that the ICE agent is being hit by the car throughout the series of shots. The leftist argument that "we are seeing the front grill of the car, therefore he was not in front of the car" does not hold. A front bumper can absolutely side-bash you. The agent at this point does not have his eyes on the wheels, he does not know where they are headed. All he knows is that there is a car striking his body and he could get swallowed under the wheels, lose a leg, or die. There is no doubt that he was correct in his belief that he was in the process of being assaulted by a potentially deadly car attack.

I doubt it's the same video that we both watched. Let's actually micro-analyse this since you wanna. Frame 1: 1) That girl was taking forward steps towards her camera when he reached out and nudged her. "Excuse me" would have been enough. Why did he have to nudge her? Also, watch his step count and the angle of his body to his hand, and you'd realise that he had enough space to pass in that very moment. 2) She said, "Can you imagine." I didn't hear the part of "who does he think he is"; but even if she did say that, since when did "who does he think he is" become a crime deserving of harassment? 3) Remember, by this man's own very account, he stated that he grabbed her hand when she refused to hand over her phone. If you're speaking of assault, then that's where the said assault started. He had absolutely no right to attempt to take her phone, NO MATTER WHAT. There are several legitimate avenues to address an errant behaviour from a student. He chose to go that route because he believed that as far as the school environment is concerned, he is the Lord of the Manor. 4) Watching the video in frame 2, you can clearly see the man dragging her by her cloth; and considering how low-cut her dress is, you can clearly see that her entire breast was completely exposed the way he held her. This video also clearly shows that she only held him back after he refused to let go of her. 5) Lastly, I put EVERY blame on this man because he had very many chances to de-escalate this situation as the elder there. While he was walking past that girl, for a split second, he looked into the camera. He was very aware that he was caught on video. He had no problems with it until he overheard the girl's snide comment. He could have kept moving. Returning there just because a (likely) 19 year old said a few words he didn't like was merely him insulting himself. Then, for those who have continued to vouch for the man being a "gentleman," let me just make this clear: no true gentleman would be found in such a situation. The problem with Nigerians is that because we've become so used to abnormalities, we don't know what is normal anymore. Put that man side by side with a true gentleman & you'll realise he's just a quiet rascal.

My DMs and notifications are blowing up from this slide situation. Here are my final thoughts. In every quarterback room I was in, we were taught to slide early (like way too early) and if you don’t, then you have to dive. Diving is the only way to protect yourself unless you decide to slide way before a defender is near you. Watch how Brock Purdy plays if you have questions about this. When he scrambles, he does a great job of deciphering slide versus dive situations. Niners fans see it every week. I’m not taking away from the fact that Trevor’s head injury is terrible, but we see this every other week with late hits on QB’s and when you have a guy running 18+ mph at you that has trucked defenders before, that’s a weird situation to be in. I’m not saying that Al-Shaiir was innocent, because he wasn’t, but I am saying that quarterbacks should be responsible with making it no doubt for defenders in split second situations. Trevor was clearly trying to get the first down and then slide. And we’ve also seen him people in the past. So I’m not buying the narrative that Trevor is a non-scrambling quarterback that slides all the time and that defenders should treat him that way. Happy to have a discussion leaving big feelings out of it :)

Is Michael Saylor about to get a margin call? No. And the reason is more interesting than the rumor, because what he built instead may be harder to escape than one. A margin call needs a lender who can seize collateral when the price drops. Strategy has none. Its $6.7 billion in debt is convertible notes, the largest tranche due in 2029, with no loan-to-value trigger and no clause that lets anyone take a coin because Bitcoin fell. Saylor learned that in 2022, when he did have a collateralized loan and sweated a liquidation price, then rebuilt the structure so it could never happen again. To fund his buying, Saylor issued a mountain of perpetual preferred stock that pays a fixed dividend forever, near 11.5 percent, no matter where Bitcoin trades. That annual bill quadrupled from about $300 million in January to roughly $1.2 billion now, while the cash reserve that pays it fell 38 percent this year to near $1.4 billion, after the company spent $1.5 billion in May retiring debt. Put those two numbers together and you get the figure that actually matters, and it is not a Bitcoin price. It is a countdown. Dividend coverage, the time the cash can keep paying that bill, has collapsed from more than seven years in early 2026 to between ten and fourteen months, depending on whose math you use. Months, not years. The market is already pricing it, just not where the rumor is looking. That preferred stock is engineered to sit at $100. Last week it cracked to $82.50, a record 17.5 percent below par. That discount is investors quietly clocking the strain while the timeline screams about a margin call that cannot happen. There is a clean way out, and it is the one door the structure was built to keep shut. Restoring a safe two years of coverage takes about $2.8 billion, roughly double what Strategy holds, and the fastest path there is to sell Bitcoin. But selling crystallizes a $10.6 billion loss, breaks the never-sell promise that gives the stock its premium, and bleeds the very asset the machine exists to hoard. The exit and the wound are the same cut. He already brushed it, selling 32 coins on June 1 to cover a payment. Thirty-two against more than 847,000 is a rounding error in size and an earthquake in meaning, because the company that swore it would never sell, sold, to pay a dividend. Issue stock into a price near its lowest since 2024 and punish your holders. Skip the dividend and start losing the company by the boardroom. Saylor did not escape the margin call. Driven by a UK Government push to open up transport data and boost public transport use nationwide, Google Maps has officially integrated live public transport tracking. Cook County and the city of #Chicago now officially in a Heat Warning from noon Monday until 10PM Wednesday night Due to the “Urban Heat Island” effect Cook County has slightly lower criteria to trigger a Heat Warning than the surrounding counties do. For Cook, 3 consecutive days of 100° or higher heat indices (that’s the current forecast) or two consecutive days of 105°+ (we may hit that Tuesday) trigger the warning (Forecast heat indexes below for Mon-Thur) We know the drill, this is t our first heat rodeo and we ain’t Europe. Hydrate, cool down where you can, check on your neighbors that can’t handle heat, keep your four legged friends cool too. First of all i would just like to say that A-Reece has no reason not to answer his phone for a whole month especially from a guy that he worked with before and has a good working relationship with. Something just doesnt feel right. Get your popcorn🍿 1. This first started when Nasty C leaked or hinted on being on the same song as A-Reece. Note that Nasty C specifically mentioned that Stogie T asked him to do a hook for him and says he will work on the verse in the meantime, meaning that he was initially asked to do both a hook and a verse. Also note that the Date of this interview is back in may meaning that the song had been in the making for awhile. BET! 2. Stogie T finally talks about the after it comes out on a radio show. He clearly states that he sent them both the beat and with Nasty C he talks about a hook and with A-Reece he is clearly referring to a verse/bars since he says “things that Slimes know him for”. BET! 3. L Tido invites MAGGZ on his podcast and he clearly indicates that MAGGZ is “ GONNA” (note that word) have the best verse on the song and during this time L Tido only knew that only Stogie T, A-Reece and MAGGZ will have verses while Nasty C is on the hook and i will prove that on number 4. So by this time L Tido already underestimates Stogie T and A-Reece pen. 4. After the song drops L Tido’s tone changes from MAGGZ to Nasty C having the best verse and clearly indicates that Nasty C didn’t have a verse and was initially supposed to be on only the hook and indicates again that Nasty C sent his verse a week before the song released. The song got released on the 28th of November meaning that Nasty C sent his verse during the week 16th - 22th This is 4 proofs that Nasty C was asked for a hook. Note and pay proper attention as this leads into 5 down below…

Our vehicle "accident rate" declined from 33% to 14% while our fleet grew from 200 to 300 trucks. How? We installed cameras in every truck. We implemented this change a couple years ago. As you'd expect, our drivers weren't thrilled. We tried to implement the change in a way that respected privacy while adding accountability measures that could reverse a bad trend we were seeing. For trucks assigned to a team member who drives the vehicle to and from work, we installed only road-facing cameras. Our shared trucks have dual-facing cameras that look at both the road and the cab. The cameras have sensors that can: - detect speeding, rapid acceleration, hard braking, rolling through stop signs, and distracted driving. Resistance to having a camera on board your truck is understandable, but I'm happy to say that our drivers have adapted well. And the numbers don't lie—The cameras have worked, leading to fewer accidents, fewer injuries, and less money lost to damages. Have you experienced driving a vehicle with a camera?
