They don’t want you to see proof of the negligence. Get an attorney ASAP.

I would not be as calm as he is. Kudos to him! I hope the school shows the footage. That's absolutely ridiculous.

Why would they call the parents to take him to the hospital?? Call 911 then call the parents.

Time to lawyer up immediately and hold that school accountable.

Legally I dont think they can show him the footage. So he needs to call the police and a lawyer, file a report and have them get the footage.

Trust your gut and your child, not the school. I have been in this exact situation and the school will always double down, deny and create a false narrative to explain away blatant negligence and bullying. Only to act shocked when someone shoots up a school or commits suicide.

Accidents do happen, and sometimes even with constant supervision. BUT if that is the case the school should have owned up to it. The other student needs more than an aide if he/she is violent. The entire situation should be thoroughly investigated.

Heartbreaking. I think he should file a police report and have the police issue a subpoena. They may have to redact the images of the uninvolved parties.
