Why do people insist on subjecting their dogs to these dog parks? Vets don't recommend them and neither do most reputable dog trainers.

I have a 2 year old Border Collie. He does not act like that one because I won't let him. I have trained him to immediately return to me on voice or whistle command. The owners of those dogs in the video should not have their dogs at large in a public space unleashed. My dog is always on a leash in public areas. He is unleashed at home because we live on a 50 acre cattle/horse farm and our house is 800 feet from the road.

We had to start carrying a taser after several dogs tried to attack our dogs on neighborhood walks. The noise stops them in their tracks.

Former dog trainer here. It's almost always because they are embarrassed and don't want to admit that they can't control their own dogs. Imagine what the rest of their lives look like. 🤦🏼‍♀️

The fact that people think it is the collie that was aggressive is the problem. You can clearly see the Samoyed pulling forward and barking at the collie before the collie even saw the Sammie. Then the owner of the Sammie made it worse by picking up the dog while the dog was still barking and going off. The first mistake that owner made was to stand still as their dog was pulling forward and pulling the dog back, that tells the dog they need to keep pulling and going at it. The way you avoid it is by continuing to walk so your dog keeps walking with you. The other problem is that those harnesses do not allow for that unless the leash can be tied to the front.

Been there many times and I always let my dogs off leash to defend themselves if they are on a walk and they are only put on leash at dog park to get them out if I see an aggressive dog or pack But many times they get attacked but defend themselves. And other owners get pissed because their dogs end up hurt and bleeding Malamute and huskies don't start anything but sure as he'll capable of defending themselves

I take my Mali's to park and they're well behaved. If I ever took my herders to the park, they'd try and herd the whole park....not good. Know your dogs, train , train, train your dogs. Its a 10 to 1 ROE.

People need to have their dogs on leashes peroud especially if the dogs are ill behaved and aggressive like that
