ALLUTA CONTINUA. Another disturbing incident has emerged in Mombasa involving a boxer named Hassan Said, a black-belt holder, who has been assaulting his girlfriend Zuhura for the last three years. The matter was brought to our attention yesterday at 5am. Through swift intervention by the police, we managed to handle the situation properly. The suspect was arrested and will be arraigned in court this morning. Once arraigned in court we won't be able to post any further update on this case until the case is concluded. Going forward, we are ready to partner and work closely with all stakeholders in the GBV sector so we can finally find a permanent solution to this madness. I will continue pushing this educative campaign to ensure all our mothers—young and old—stand firmly against gender-based violence.
