This was accurate TV. Had a friend like this: immense pressure from parents to over-achieve, two sports, did a bunch of extra circulars to pad Uni application, worked weekends. Never got a chance to be a teen. Got heavy into drugs in college and 86'd himself a few years ago. Sad.
