This movie is Killing Me Softly (2002). This character’s name is not Lisa. Her name is Alice. Alice, an American in London, leaves her boyfriend Jake for Adam, a mysterious mountaineer, and they quickly marry. She grows suspicious of Adam’s secretive past, receiving anonymous warnings and discovering his missing ex-lover Adele’s letters. SPOILERS!!! Investigating, Alice learns Adam’s sister Deborah, obsessed with him due to a traumatic past, killed Adele and other lovers out of jealousy. At a cabin, Alice kills Deborah to save Adam, but the police take him away the next morning. Two years later, Alice and Adam briefly see each other on escalators, exchange looks without speaking, and part ways, with Alice reflecting on their unfulfilled passion.
