💔💔COBB COUNTY, GA💔💔💔 FROM FB: Today, while volunteering at the shelter and walking my row of dogs, I noticed a different dog in another row sitting quietly in the corner of her kennel… shaking and trying to make herself as small as possible. I looked at her kennel card and learned her name was Hazel and she had just been surrendered yesterday . 😭💔 I decided to go sit with her, hoping I could make her day just a little bit better. Little did I know… she would be the one making mine.🥹 Hazel was terrified and unsure of everyone around her. But little by little, she found the courage to take one step… then another… until she came over, kissed my face, and reminded me just how sweet she truly is. I later learned that Hazel was surrendered because the family cat repeatedly attacked her. 🥺 And through no fault of her own, she lost the only home she knew. Hazel is only 2 years old. She’s dog-friendly, good with kids, housebroken, and crate-trained. She has so much love to give, yet tonight she’s sleeping in a shelter kennel instead of a home. I spent a long time with her today, holding her close and reminding her that she is a good girl… that she is loved, that she is seen, and that someone still cares about her. Before I closed her kennel door, I made Hazel a promise.. I promised her I would share her story with the world. And I told her that I have an incredible village of people who always show up when a dog needs them most. Now I’m asking that village for one more favor. Look at the relief on Sweet Momma's face when she sees Martin Miller after hours on a Saturday night. Sweet Momma came to The City of Mobile Animal Services as part of a neglect case along with her two puppies. While her babies grew up and found loving homes, Sweet Momma was left behind. Not a single application. Not one meet and greet. Now this forgotten girl waits alone in her kennel day after day. Every evening, Martin stops by to spend time with her. 😔PENNY😔 This is a very different and difficult post than usual, but you need to know about this amazing girl of mine who was suddenly and unexpectedly taken from me and my wife too soon yesterday! Penny wasn’t just a cat or a pet… she was family And she was better than most people I know! She was strong, wilful, and independent. But she was also loving caring and kind! She would sit with me first thing in the morning as I had my coffee and then spend most evenings sitting on my shoulder or my wifes lap as we read or watched tv! She often loved to play hide and seek and if you didn’t find her in time she would ambush you with a cheeky little paw slap as if to say… ha I won! She also had a mischievous side and loved exploring everywhere and everything which ultimately was her undoing! She was badly injured by a farming machine yesterday but despite her injuries she bravely struggled home in what must have been immense pain to be with us, but she sadly passed away shortly after at the vets thankfully comfortably and quietly! I’m utterly heartbroken and can’t believe that I am not going to see her again I know many of you will be think I’m a sad soft sod for this post, but I really don’t care! Being loved by Penny was a privilege that now in hindsight I probably took too much for granted! Penny was the absolute best and she didn’t deserve to leave us the way she did, and deserves to be known and remembered by others who didn’t get the chance to know her like we did Sleep well my beautiful girl… my heart will not be the same again! 💔

Sometimes you just meet a dog that takes your breath away. I’ve never seen a braver, cuter or more resilient girl. I let her when I was dropping little Penny into Soi Dog Foundation for her own operation. I instantly just said to myself I have to help find this girl a home. She was sliced across the legs so badly that she nearly died but the wonderful vets saved her by amputating the 2 front legs. I didn’t want to show the footage of her suffering and just instead focus on the positive. She should hate humans and be aggressive and have turned into her shell but she is the friendliest and most fun loving dog you will ever meet. Time spent in her company was an absolute joy. I left absolutely buzzing just being in her company. One of those sorts of dogs. She is very mobile on her own and has no issues with toilets or anything. She is a real little go getter and a dog so pure and full of love. It would be my absolute dream for her to reach a big enough audience where she might find someone who would take her in and give her a little place in the world to call her own. I genuinely cannot understand how someone can watch this story and still stand there, looking at two women, and somehow decide that the wrong one is the victim. On one side, you have a girl (Yıldız) who has been mistreated her entire life. Since the moment she was born, she was treated like a sacrifice for a conflict she was never even part of and later we find out that this conflict never even existed. Her right to study was taken from her. She was pushed into a marriage at a very young age just imagine being six, seven, eight years old, living in fear of being tied to someone you don’t even know. She was treated like a servant in her own home, by the very people she thought were her family. And just when she gets close to the happiness she dreamed of, the man she was engaged to shows up with another wife. She gets mistreated by that wife, by his family, and even (unintentionally) by him, because he was trying to run away from his own feelings, and that only caused her more heartbreak. The whole world was literally against her. She fought through all of that, only to find out in the end that everything she suffered for was based on something that wasn’t even real. Her entire life was built on a lie. That she isn’t even part of that family that she has literally no one in this world. Now on the other side… You have a girl (Melek) who, yes, was taken from her biological mother but she was raised by loving parents. She had everything anyone could wish for: education, freedom, a happy childhood, a healthy environment. She lived her life, fell in love, went out, made choices and no one questioned her, no one controlled her. And then what did she do? She found out that her man was engaged to another woman before marrying her (and even saw him marry her) and instead of holding on to her dignity, she chose to stay, to fight for a man who lied to her, to hold onto a marriage he tried to end multiple times. She used her unborn child to keep him tied to her. She lied constantly, and her excuse was that she was “protecting her marriage” a marriage that was already broken from the moment Serhat removed that ring at the airport in episode one. She tried to hand Yıldız (a woman who had already suffered enough) over to dangerous people. Then she found out the truth about her own birth (that her father ra*ped her mother.)And still no empathy. No moment of humanity toward her own mother. All she cared about was herself. And even though none of this had anything to do with Yıldız, she still found a way to blame it on her. Instead of holding her father accountable, she went and made a deal with him to get rid of Yıldız. She literally made a deal with the devil just to hurt Yıldız one more time. And after all of that… you want me to feel sorry for her? You want me to call her a victim? I honestly cannot believe we are living on the same planet with people who see this and still say, “she’s the victim.” Not morally. Not logically. Not emotionally. Hi everyone please I need your help, so my friend paid for a stand of 250k as a food vendor at the @wodiebenuahfair and on the day of the fair there was not tent with her name on it, she reached out to the organizers there to ask what was going on and they told her they’ll set up a new tent for her, she waited until the end of the fair, nobody came to her to give her update, she had to beg another vendor there to share a part of her tent just so the food doesn’t go to waste and still nobody reached out to her. she texted them after the fair and they agreed to refund her, but they haven’t refunded her up until now, and instead they reported her IG page and it has been taken down and they have also stopped replying her messages, please she barely sold anything at the fair and she also didn’t get the tent she paid for, she needs to get her refund, please help 😩 Sir Dickson YabaLeftOnline Instablog9ja

As most of you know, my daughter Taryn moved back in with me after about 15 years with her grandparents. They took great care of her, but she was ready to come home to Mom, and I’m at a place in my life where I can provide the best care and resources for her, but it’s a process filled with lots of hoops and red tape. I took Taryn to the movies the other day and it started out great. We walked there, and she was so excited and happy. Throughout the movie she was holding my hand, giving me hugs, leaning her head on me, and I remember thinking, “wow, I am so happy and grateful. My life is perfect in this moment.” Then disaster struck out of nowhere. We were in the front left row, and a Dad with his little girl were in the right front row. The movie went quiet, and Taryn could hear the little girl chewing her popcorn. Taryn developed severe Misophonia, and it’s gotten progressively worse over the last couple years. The sound of chewing sets off her fight or flight instincts, and although she tries, she has the communication and emotional regulation capabilities of a two year old. I could see her getting visibly agitated, and tried to get her to leave, even offered to take her to Mc. Donald’s if we left, and told her we could come back and finish the movie another time. She said no, that she wanted to stay. She had been looking forward to the movie for weeks, and didn’t want to leave. The movie got quiet again, and out of nowhere she jumped up and ran over to the little girl and her Dad. She tried to attack them, but the dad stopped her and I was right behind her and grabbed her. She tried to go after them again, and I grabbed her and pulled her down to the floor. I was mortified, and the fact that we were in the front row in a theater full of people made it even worse. I apologized, helped Taryn up, and started pushing her up the aisle, toward the door. All the while, she’s screaming at the top of her lungs. When I walked out, the employee behind the counter gave me a sympathetic look and whispered “it’s ok.” Of course, we had walked… Taryn screamed the whole way home. When we got home, she lost her tablet and printing privileges, leading to her punching me and then hitting herself and biting herself repeatedly, and screaming for hours but the consequences stuck. I was overwhelmed, embarrassed, and generally overstimulated, but I kept calm and stayed even throughout the entire process, somehow. The next day, I woke up to someone sending me a screenshot from a post the father made. I instantly started crying. I am so grateful to live in a community with such amazing and understanding people. All of the comments passed the vibe check. I’m also so grateful they were so understanding and am happy to report that the little girl was unfazed. Taryn had a mental health assessment last week, and meets with a licensed clinician on Monday and a case manager the following week. The clinician will be able to help make a plan to get Taryn the best care she needs, and the Case Manager will help us put it into action. This is a hard transition for all of us, but I’m so grateful to have her home and to be able to get her the help and services she needs. She isn’t a bad kid. She’s actually really funny, really smart, and super talented. She just struggles with a lot of things we take for granted. Had an interesting conversation this weekend with an older relative who's politics are "just be a good person". She's relatively wealthy and gives to the types of causes you would expect this type of person to give. She gives her time too. She is actually a good person. I asked her if she was ever concerned that the causes she gave to would reduce the proportion of people like her in the world. She said that she thought the opposite. That she was inspired by the generosity and kindness of others, and that by giving she would increase the proportion of people like her. I said I believed she inspires her peers, but her peers aren't the people she's giving money to. Do they become productive and generous people, like her? Or is she just increasing the proportion of people who are takers and don't give anything back? Despite decades of generosity, this was clearly a question she had never thought about. The implications made her uncomfortable, and the conversation basically ended after that.

During the rescue operation, we managed to save her and another boy. I am grateful to share that the boy has since been successfully reunited with his biological parents after due investigations and DNA confirmation. Unfortunately, despite all efforts by the authorities, we have not been able to trace the parents or relatives of this little girl. I don't even know how to go to bed with this heavy heart 💔😭 There is this lady on tiktok that makes really interesting videos with her maid Precious. The girl looks very happy and well taken care of and she has somehow become a member of the family. Last year, she posted that the girl's father said he wanted to come and visit them and enjoy with them small. But she told him her husband did not approve or so. Obviously, someone has been sharing the videos they make with him. Not long after he started demanding that the girl be sent back or he will go diabolical on them. Afraid of what would happen to the girl's future if she returned, this lady's family did everything to keep the girl from going back, they even went ahead to pay her bride price ( I don't know what that means). Still the man insisted. At a point, it was said that the man was her uncle not her father and he said precious should be returned and replaced with his own daughter or so... Last last, the girl was returned and she was greatly missed. Tonight I was scrolling through tiktok and saw the woman's obituary. She died less than a month after the girl left her house from a brief illness. She was such a beautiful soul, her son will grow up not experiencing the amazing woman his mother is😭💔

A family comes to sit on the other side of the aisle from her.. A mom and dad and small baby girl . The baby starts crying as she wants the window seat. The father asks this passenger. Would she mind getting up? She explains. I don’t want to do that because I do get Air sick and I specifically purchased the seat for that reason.. She held her ground and did not give up her seat. Of course the family was aggravated and giving her dirty looks, and had some things to say about her as they were leaving the plane.. My question is do you think she was right to hold her ground? I do I think it’s very insensitive of parents to put out other people because their child is not well behaved.

This is a great discussion by Elon Musk at the WEF in Davos on how Optimus will help the elderly. Our population is aging rapidly. Just the other day my grandmother fell and broke her hip. She lives by herself about an hour drive from me, so it's difficult to be there all the time. She was found on the floor laying for 5 hours. The only way we knew something was wrong was because she wasn't answering the phone, we had to drive an hour to see what happened. She refuses a caregiver who lives in the neighborhood to come in and check in on her, she insists that she doesn't need help. Optimus would be a huge lifesaver for her. She can still maintain her independence and have Optimus there to help her when she needs it. Optimus can adjust its help based on her personality and observing what she needs help with so she can still feel independent and active without all the dangers that come with being nearly 90 years old.

Over the years, many of you have joined me in celebrating this truly special girl turned young woman, Maddie. I am heartbroken to share with you that Maddie has passed away at the age of 21. I’m sharing a glimpse into my friendship with Maddie because I want people to know how truly special she was. I met Maddie when Kevin and I were filming Kevin Can Wait. Make-A-Wish America reached out and told us that a young girl’s wish was to meet us. I was so touched. This beautiful little girl was a fan of King of Queens? And we of course said yes. Maddie and her family came to visit us on set, and what started as a meet-and-greet turned into a real, almost decade-long, lasting friendship. Maddie would text me almost every day. She sent me funny videos, shared stories about her life, and came out to LA with her family, where I attempted to get her to expand her palate (though she always circled back to her favorite, a Caesar salad). We shared many beautiful moments that have kept me positive in moments of difficulty and darkness, and she was about to come to LA again, where I planned on celebrating her for her birthday and her recent accomplishments. Maddie had Spinal Muscular Atrophy type two (SMA), but she never let it define her. She was excited to begin advocacy work and had recently told me she was officially going to start speaking publicly about her experiences, not even for herself, but to help others. She had big dreams, and I was so proud watching her grow into the leader I always knew she was. Maddie loved her family and friends fiercely. For her young age, she would prefer to be with friends and family, playing games and our favorite, Phase 10. She loved all things girly: nails, hair, makeup, the Timberwolves. And she hated snow (though she lived in Minnesota), and more importantly, she loved helping people. She wrote me love notes daily, and I only hope I had let her know how much joy she brought me. It is me who hopes that she knew how much I loved her. I received this text from her friend Emma, whom I knew from the many funny videos Maddie sent me of the two of them. I’ve included it below. After flying to Minnesota to say goodbye (although she had already passed while I was in the air), I wanted her to know what she meant to me. That she was thinking of me in this way and wanted me to have the things she mentioned, that she cared so much, is also truly touching and heartbreaking. Maddie had so much life ahead of her. Her disease didn’t stop her spirit or dim her light. She was hopeful, brilliant, and genuinely excited for her future. I will miss her texts, her videos, and hearing from her every day. They always made me smile. I will miss her humor and the light she brought into this world every single day. Maddie had just turned 21. Her little body just couldn’t contain the big, beautiful life she was living. She was a force, taken too soon. Something has to change. After operating all day and doing two DIEP flap cases, I saw a woman who had driven hours across Texas to get help. She has a history of breast cancer, had implant reconstruction, and had radiation on one side. And we know this, radiation and implants don’t mix. She developed signs of infection. Her incisions opened, fluid was draining, and she went to an ER and even called her plastic surgeon for help. The surgeon who initially performed her reconstruction told her, “I don’t take your insurance anymore.” She continued working and looking for help while the infection got worse. Because her insurance reimburses so poorly, she couldn’t find someone to operate on her. Eventually, she made it to our practice where we took care of her. Our plan is to treat the infection and then perform a flap reconstruction so she can finally heal. It’s a privilege to have her trust and to take care of her. But I want to say this clearly: This level of heroic effort is not the answer longterm. We need a sustainable system that is applying pressures in the right direction. And we need to agree on what healthcare services should be available to all Americans.

Britney Spears is our longest resident here at Happy Doggo after I rescued her 2.5 years ago. Today she was getting some big news which is remarkable considering her back story… 🔓 She was dumped in the jungle with her puppies. She was incredibly vicious. We think she could have been used for fighting 🦷 She bit 2 other volunteers 🏡 The only place she could stay was with me. She caused mayhem attacking snoop, Jumbo and a friend. 📅 For the first year I was pretty much the only one who could handle her. 🌴 She came to the land and had many fights with other dogs. She was learning but she kept letting herself down 🛵 I developed a system of running her which she loves. Its when she would come alive and feel free 🧍‍♂️ She expanded her circle of humans slowly and now is friends with about 20 people. She also has some dog friends. ✅ It’s been 6 months since Britney had any sort of fight or incident. She is very loving now. We are still careful but she has calmed down So after 2.5 years I promised Britney 2025 is the year she would get her own forever home. She will do great but it will need to be a very specialized home and we’ll have to do it slowly and carefully. I wouldn’t even attempt it if I didn’t think it was right but it is. Britney has finally gotten to a place where she needs to be. The land is great for her but a home is always even better. This won’t happen overnight but it will in 2025. I’ve promised her. Anybody who has followed from the start knows how big a deal this is. Also how cool is Britney’s new camera attachment. Best present ever she said 🎁

She was learning but she kept letting herself down 🛵 I developed a system of running her which she loves. Its when she would come alive and feel free 🧍‍♂️ She expanded her circle of humans slowly and now is friends with about 20 people. She also has some dog friends. ✅ It’s been 6 months since Britney had any sort of fight or incident. She is very loving now. We are still careful but she has calmed down So after 2.5 years I promised Britney 2025 is the year she would get her own forever home. She will do great but it will need to be a very specialized home and we’ll have to do it slowly and carefully. I wouldn’t even attempt it if I didn’t think it was right but it is. Britney has finally gotten to a place where she needs to be. The land is great for her but a home is always even better. This won’t happen overnight but it will in 2025. I’ve promised her. Anybody who has followed from the start knows how big a deal this is. Also how cool is Britney’s new camera attachment. Best present ever she said 🎁
