Following the events of Bubble Bobble, Bubby and Bobby set out to defeat the "Dark Shadow" and rescue the Rainbow Islands. Everythinhg about this game is adorable, the over the top and super vibrant colours, the ever so cute soundtrack, the fact that you "kill" enemies with a rainbow (aww...), the brilliant gameplay, and the sheer joy to pick up all the bonuses and drops for extra points. The Amiga and Atari ST version were done by Graftgold (Andrew Braybrook) in perfect fashion. In all the magazines that I read and that you can still look up today, Rainbow Islands consistently gets a 90%+ score, excellent reviews and quotes like "highly addictive" and "one of the best games ever made". I couldn't agree more.
