✨ I managed to improve 🚗 Voxel Derby a lot and it's deployed now: It now has a new 🏡 village map, multiple cars you can select (ppl requested monster truck on here so I added) and the cars fall apart better when you hit other cars or objects They slowly disintegrate until there's enough damage and they start smoking and then you're rekt! Now I'm going to try add multiplayer ASAP so people can drive into each other here Also it'd be fun to get less flat maps, I don't know how to do that because everything is voxel, so if it's less flat you get this blocky gradient curve which isn't optimal About a few hours of time invested to make this now, so pretty good score!

Englot is real. EF: Both of us have adjusted ourselves as there's not much time left. Now we're happy and our couple fans are happy and that's good enough. There might be fans who don't understand us but that's common. We understand each other and there's nothing that we don't know about each other since we keep each other updated. CL: It's now 4 and soon will be 5 years that we've been together. When we had problems, were on good terms or fought, everyone knew it. We've passed the point that we'd be hesitant to share. Now it's the period when we both feel the most comfortable. EF: Just by looking each other in the eye, we know what the other is thinking. Englot is real like what you've witnessed so far. You can easily tell when we aren't on good terms. However, that's what happened in the past before we've grown and understand each other at this point. We always keep each other updated. Day 049, orbit 0759 – Another experiment, and another timelapse! This time, I’m working with the Fluid Science Laboratory (FSL), one of the science facilities inside ESA’s Columbus module. The experiment is called PASTA-3 and investigates the formation and evolution of emulsions over time when there is no gravity to interfere. Emulsions are mixtures of two or more liquids that do not usually mix, such as oil and water. During this session, I installed 3 experiment containers 🧪 with new samples inside the FSL. Each PASTA sample has a different concentration of surfactant (an agent that helps liquids mix) and Xanthan Gum in addition to a water and oil mixture. This experiment helps scientists better understand and model the fundamental physics of emulsions. That knowledge has numerous applications on Earth, including: - improving food quality and shelf life (milk 🥛, dough, mayonnaise, candy…), - enhancing the stability and effectiveness of medicines (including vaccines 💉) and cosmetics, - optimising processes in industrial and advanced manufacturing sectors (oil 🛢️, chemicals …). SpaceX has officially acquired xAI and this is a HUGE deal, probably bigger than most people realize. SpaceX + xAI together are about to build a single, vertically integrated engine that connects AI, rockets, space based internet, and real time information all into one unified system. At the core of this announcement is the fact that AI can’t scale forever on Earth. Think about it. Data centers are already running into hard limits with power, cooling, land, and environmental cost. On top of this, global AI electricity demand is exploding, and doing all of this on the ground just doesn’t scale long term. Therefore Space changes this. In orbit, you can get things like near-constant solar power, you don’t have cooling problems, there’s minimal land/environmental impact, and you can build systems that can run continuously with minimal maintenance. This is why space-based AI is actually very practical and there’s only one company that can do it, which is SpaceX! The scale that SpaceX is aiming for is pretty wild. Elon is talking about 1/ 1 million satellites acting as orbital data centers, and 2/ Launching ~1 million tons of satellites per year Which means 3/ At 100 kW per ton, that’s 100 gigawatts of AI compute every year 4/ And that can scale to 1 terawatt per year. FYI, adding 100 GW of new compute capacity annually in space would be like building out roughly 20-25% of the USA’s total average electricity demand every single year. And scaling to 1 TW/year would exceed the nation’s entire power usage, ALL without burdening Earth’s grids! Bro… this is next level… I repeat, as of today, SpaceX is the ONLY company positioned to do this, especially with Starship - the largest flying vehicle ever. In the future, Elon’s saying the team is going to have Starship launch 200 tons at a time, on an HOURLY basis… WTF?! That’s is absolutely mind boggling. In my opinion, whichever company builds the lowest cost AI compute is going to be the first company that defines the next era of AI, which will all be in space… and my $ is that SpaceX is going to be the first one to do it. Then, when you zoom out even further, this will unlock things most people aren’t even thinking about yet today bc it’s too sci-fi. Like, • Powering lunar bases • In-space propellant transfer • Manufacturing in orbit and on the Moon • Deep-space AI infrastructure using massive solar collectors • Self-growing civilizations on the Moon, Mars, and beyond By tapping into space’s unlimited solar energy, this is how we get to a Kardashev-level civilization! So for SpaceX, the faster Starship progresses, there will be massive new revenue streams and will lead in building out space-based AI infrastructures. For xAI, AI scales without ruining Earth, deeply integrated with everything SpaceX is building, further understanding the universe. For us humans, AI will grow without destroying the planet, and there’s a real path to becoming multi-planetary. After almost 4 weeks of dev, I've submitted Tiny Skies to #vibejam. I've never launched a multiplayer game before, so I'm a little nervous! Tiny Skies is a cosy little game you can pick up and play whenever you have a few minutes. It's a pretty chill and relaxing game where you can fly around and do stuff like: - play casual capture the flag with other players - shoot paintballs at each other (and at gremlins!) - make package deliveries - race in mini races - catch some fish - drift on a magic carpet - collect jellyfish friends - visit the landmarks of the world as a Capybara - unlock all vehicle options: biplane, magic carpet, or fishing boat (unlockable via multiple playthroughs) - or if you're up for it, figure out how to save the world from impending doom I hope you'll enjoy flying (and boating) around the world and soaking in the vibes! 👀USA 325 keeps an eye on COSMOS 2589 as it settles into GEO COSMOS 2589 🇷🇺 (launched last June) spent the past few weeks circularizing its orbit before parking at ~98°E. USA 325 🇺🇸 (GSSAP-6) was watching the whole time. Things got interesting around April 19th when COSMOS 2589 actually drifted past USA 325 mid-maneuver. USA 325 repositioned, and by late April both were sitting at the same longitude. From there, observation passes came twice a day due to their different inclinations. Closest was ~13 km on 1 May, with sun angles lining up nicely for a good look. 3D visualization attached — you can really see how COSMOS 2589 tightened its orbit while USA 325 adjusted to stay in position. This is what GSSAP does: when something new shows up in GEO, they're there to take a look. Analysis via COMSPOC SSASuite. Here are the graphics we made at Intel. I work at Nike innovation now so don’t work on them anymore so not sure all the details for this version but basically we used cameras and computer vision to track each athlete in each lane. Because the cameras were calibrated to specific locations and each frame of video timestamped, we could get distance and time data which you can use to get speed, naturally. Feed the data to a 3D rendered stadium and overlay graphics, and voila. We chose to show speed at the end of each “phase” of the race which I based the location on the data we got from testing and common knowledge of the 100m. So stopping at 30m (drive) and 60 (maintenance) and the end was intentional. Looks like a white label indicates a leader at the end of the phase. The green thing at the front of their label looks to indicate if their are accelerating. This is a bit of a deception because you’re always either accelerating or decelerating. So what it’s actually an indication of is if you’re within a certain percentage of your top speed. The green at the end is graded based on that which is why it’s a gradient. Basically shows that Noah not only has the highest tops speed but holds it best. The final view is everyone’s top speed and where they hit it in the race. It’s freaking wild that Tobago hit his top speed so late.

The yellow diamond ring PP: He gave me the ring in the 1st day (of the concert) after the run-through. At first I thought he called me in to discuss about work. But he rather gave me a surprise. Wendigo movement - WIP Before feedback and some info in bulk: - It's heavily work in progress, including for animations, textures and models. - We know the mouse can take up too much space and can be annoying. We're actually working on it and will probably offer an option to only have the arms (but it looks cool on video, so we're keeping it for now). - Camera movement can be turned off. - Values like the jump are overpowered right now and don't represent the final values. - I know this will be asked: no inverted camera. We can't nitpick every single little thing about each other, right? It's more about adapting, accepting the way she is, and... we both already know we genuinely mean well for each other. There's no bad intentions, we're close. So nowadays, it's just this total sense of comfort. If it's a minor thing, we can just let it slide. But if something bigger comes up, we talk it out.
