Yes. That's what he is referring to. "Al-jam'". However it isn't necessarily while you're in transit. You'd do it even after you arrived at your destination of travel till you return home.

I heard Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim BUK (RML) saying that while teaching Muwadda malik. I believe you will learn more if you listen to his complete muwadda malik.
