Kudos to KTR for strongly opposing population-based delimitation. Why should states that worked hard on population control,education and development be punished with reduced representation? States that contribute significantly to nation building must be rewarded, not penalised. During the delimitation, fiscal contribution should also be taken into consideration not population alone. BRS Working President KTR has long been demanding that delimitation should be carried out based on states’ GDP contribution to the nation. Alternatively, if seats are increased, they should be expanded proportionately, while ensuring that the current share of seats for each state remains unchanged.

The Joint Action Committee meeting on Fair Delimitation, presided over by our Hon’ble Chief Minister Thiru. M.K.Stalin, unanimously resolved that any Delimitation exercise must be transparent, inclusive, and involve all stakeholders. As the objective of population stabilization, the intent behind the 42nd, 84th, and 87th Constitutional Amendments, has not yet been achieved, the freeze on parliamentary constituencies based on the 1971 Census must be extended for another 25 years through necessary amendments. States that have successfully implemented population control should not be penalized. A Co-Committee of MPs will coordinate parliamentary strategies and submit a joint representation to the Hon’ble PM. Resolutions in state assemblies and public mobilization efforts will be initiated. United for Fair Delimitation! #FairDelimitation

We ask for a fair delimitation and never said no delimitation. We have clearly said that our percentage of 7.18 % has to be maintained.
