Kudos to KTR for strongly opposing population-based delimitation. Why should states that worked hard on population control,education and development be punished with reduced representation? Delimitation based purely on population growth risks shifting political power unfairly, rewarding regions that failed to control population while sidelining those that governed responsibly. Southern states have consistently contributed more in terms of economic growth,governance and human development. their voice in Parliament cannot be diluted in the name of arithmetic. delimitation must go beyond population. it should reflect performance,progress and equity.

Kudos to KTR for strongly opposing population-based delimitation. Why should states that worked hard on population control,education and development be punished with reduced representation? Delimitation based purely on population growth risks shifting political power unfairly, rewarding regions that failed to control population while sidelining those that governed responsibly. We ask for a fair delimitation and never said no delimitation. We have clearly said that our percentage of 7.18 % has to be maintained. We have made it very clear that you can't have delimitation on the basis of population because we have been following the family planning policy of the union government....If no constitutional amendment is brought before 31st December 2026, automatically there will be a delimitation on the basis of population, in which event states like Tamil Nadu will be drastically affected..."

So we don’t trust them Rewarding states that dragged the country behind is not the way forward. As we approach 2047, if India wants to become a superpower, developed states must be encouraged - not punished.

Standing on Tamil soil, the Prime Minister must give a clear guarantee : "Tamil Nadu and other states that have successfully controlled population growth will not be penalised in the impending delimitation exercise. Their share of parliamentary seats in percentage terms will remain untouched." Hon'ble PM Narendra Modi should make this promise publicly, allay the fears in the minds of the people of Tamil Nadu, and follow it up with a constitutional amendment in Parliament. This is the only way to ensure a #FairDelimitation. I sincerely hope he will act.
