The Saudi land corridor is longer than ideal but it is functional and active. Our expat population has lived here for years, in many cases decades, with families and livelihoods rooted here. The assumption that they all vanish simultaneously underestimates both them and us. Kuwait survived full military occupation and annexation. Seven months. Everything looted.
