Jacobo Ramon is honestly a better signing at Centre Back for Chelsea than Lacroix. One of the main reasons is that he doesn't block Acheampong, he's a natural CCB. So very comfortable playing LCB, and Xabi Alonso knows that very well about him.

WHY Maxence Lacroix Could Fix Chelsea’s Biggest Problem… Chelsea have not struggled to create chances. They have struggled to stop good ones. Last season, Chelsea consistently gave opponents high-quality looks at goal, especially in transition. Too often, one broken shape or one lost duel turned into a clear chance. That is where Maxence Lacroix could change everything. He is one of the quickest centre-backs in the Premier League, dominant in the air and elite when it comes to positioning himself inside the box. I still think Martinez is a far better midfielder than a central defender. He gets turned so easily when he’s the last man, lacks pace to play in a high line and can still get out jumped. If he didn’t have his passing ability, he’d be holding bench.

Tottenham Hotspur’s decision to sell Luka Vuskovic is insane. I have concerns wrt his recovery pace but at the very least he develops into one of the very best box defenders on the planet. He’s the perfect CCB to lead the line and fight fires with his excellent reading in the box.

🚨Is Bazoumana Toure (20) a must buy for #mufc at €40m or his just another Patrick Dorgu? 12A/Gs in 30 games for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga last season. Mostly operates at Left wing but can play Right wing as well. I bet he can play Left back as well with proper nurturing.

One of the biggest reasons I liked Lacroix signing for Chelsea is his quotes here. "I love to defend", you can tell this is true, our Centre Backs don't have this mentality. Also said he likes to lead from the back, another reason why he's a great signing for us.

Nico Schlotterbeck should be the centre-back Manchester United go for. He’s better than Lisandro Martínez in almost every defensive aspect — tackling, blocks, clearances, interceptions — and he’s far more reliable with his availability. He’s also excellent on the ball and can consistently play line-breaking passes. A fit, aggressive, technically gifted centre-back who can actually stay available. Exactly the type of player United need. Would you take Schlotterbeck as Martínez’s replacement?
