Ladd McConkey Got rocked and grabbed his left side/hip/ribs/back after this shot. They initially called it a chest injury, which usually means a rib injury. Hope he’s ok, and his X-rays are negative. If so they’ll put a ‘flak’ jacket on him and he will likely return.

Horrific luck for Luke Metcalf who won’t return after suffering a right hamstring injury. Rare goalkicking mechanism now seen twice in two weeks (after Ashton Ward in Round 23). Metcalf also has an extensive hamstring injury history - earlier this season a left hamstring injury cost him 6 weeks, and in 2023 right and left hamstring injuries both cost him 6+ weeks. A best case minor strain would usually be a 2-4 week return, but considering Metcalf’s history wouldn’t be surprised to see the Warriors be conservative with his return date.

DJ Moore #bills Lands directly on his left shoulder, then defender lands on him. Common mechanism for an AC joint or even SC joint injury, was grabbing at his collarbone so I was initially concerned he broke it but he seemed to walk off without arm support which makes a fracture less likely

De’Zhaun Stribling #49ers He was in the tent earlier for his left ankle, you can see him pull up after pushing off the left foot here. He was helped off the field and not putting any weight on his left leg. I don’t see his ankle rolling so wondering if this is a calf injury, hopefully not Achilles, but unsure from this view. Hoping he’s okay.

After Billy Gunn recently mentioned on ‘Fuel & Flex’ that he has stress fractures in his back, his team reached out to clarify that it’s a “very old injury”, and the reason he’s absent from TV is due to not being booked by AEW creative: “Billy is fine, this is a very old injury that he has dealt with for years. It does not interfere with wrestling or training. It just gets sore if he trains too heavy or hard. Attached is a video today showing everyone he Is ok. Because of the internet, our phones have been blowing up asking if his back is hurt. His absence from AEW is due to him not being booked by creative.”

The Daniel Jones Achilles injury is awful in so many ways. But I do want to shed a light on his toughness. He was already playing with a broken bone in his fibula… Then he ruptured his Achilles and still chose to walk off the field instead of using a cart. And later in the game, he was back on the sideline supporting his teammates and helping QB Riley Leonard. This man’s toughness, competitiveness, and love for the sport and his teammates are unquestioned. And that deserves respect.

A man was filling up at a Shell gas station in Orland Park, Illinois, when a masked man came up and held a gun to him, trying to rob him. Naseem Elmosa, whose family owns the business, said, "I would hope that he would just give up his keys, let him take his car, and the guy wouldn't have to use his weapon. Luckily, he had a weapon on him, and he wasn't afraid to take it out." The customer who shot the unidentified would-be thief did not suffer any injury and is cooperating with investigators.
