When the state government decides to take on the constitutional responsibilities of local governments, you only have chaos. Refuse collection and management is the job of the local government councils, until then, refuse will always be a problem in the state and country.

If LAWMA do their job no body would dispose refuse illegally.

They should provide waste spots to tackle it first before this step. Good efforts though.

Monetize waste disposal in Lagos state and the challenge of indiscriminate dumping of waste will become history @tokunbo_wahab

Waste police is very important in a place like lagos but PSP must come too

This is where we are, when countries like Sweden & Denmark are “buying” wastes from neighboring countries to produce their electricity.

Lawma is very inefficient. These Wahab is a clown.

Let every local govt be responsible for waste management with LASTMA overseeing the process. Another issue is shortage of trucks.. some of the trucks available are also not in good working condition.

Install cameras, post their pictures and a fine on their head. They should spend 3 month community service. Let it affect their jobs and daily life. They will learn.

Everything na task force Doing everything except doing the main task This country dey muzz me 😂

Same thing every time

Provide the legal waste disposal centre and provide jobs, if people don’t have where to put their waste then obviously the problem will continue, Why not solve the problem. Put Waste Disposal Bins in those areas and your task force should educate them on how to dispose waste.

They should get the LAWMA/PSP to be functional and not collecting money without providing adequate services

The point is where are they dumping the refuse before now. Our people are intentionally very wicked. Igando along lasu expressway has been a nightmare. Even if lawma remove the dirty today within an hour the place is full again. So I believe our people doing it purposely.

Why did we stop nationwide sanitation day ? I think we need to go back to that system and waste managers like lawma would collect wastes too. For this situation i think they should put waste trucks situated at places were there has been frequent repeat for dumping waste on the streets Also include enforcers who like kia to mske sure people comply with waste dumping rules.

Why is that those task force are not there to sensitise people and be ready to collect the refuse, instead of wasting everyone's time.

Why is the lottery and gaming agency buying trucks, shouldn't everything go through public appropriation

😂 😂 how about enacting a waste management collection framework @Lawma_gov ?

Which yeye illegal refuse disposal are they creating a task force for ? The one in front of my gate that we pay for every month and it's yet to be picked it for over two months now. Do you call that one illegal ?. Lagos smells and the commissioner inactive.

LAWMA are not doing their job But black man Innovation is a “FIRE BRIGADE APPROACH” There are company’s assigned to get this Dirty off the Road but they are not doing their jobs @tokunbo_wahab Sir What do you have to say about Companies that are paid without Doing the Job ??

Omo.. this welcome development, everywhere smells nowadays, anybody caught with this act should be arrested and face the consequence.

Waste management and proper disposal is a course that should be taught in schools cos the whole population is accustomed to loitering. We do it without fuss. I don't know how many times I've held garbage in my hand until I got home - so also having access to cleanliness is ideal

Nice move our environment is so dirty in mainland

Please direct them to Iyana Ipaja down to Ayobi

What's the legal Refuse disposal system in Lagos?

Nice👍

Wear them body cameras. E get why.

Citizens hold a vital responsibility. Many discard refuse on the road without concern, and confronting them often makes you their enemy. The formation of the task force is a positive step, and we need enforcement similar to Fashola's approach.

I hope they ll work at night. Dead in d night o. Thats when those idiots who dont want to pay for lawma in their house come to drop refuse on our roads... @tokunbo_wahab pls your task force should also look into houses that doesn't have lawma acct. Every building should ve.

@Mr_JAGs We thank them.

Gbabode coming to tackle this in 3.....2......
