Laguna Beach has declared a local emergency after powerful swells from Hurricane Marie caused significant coastal erosion, damaged seawalls and threatened oceanfront homes, with city officials warning that an unusually strong El Niño could bring additional damage in the months ahead.

Thats sucks that their ocean on mansions are getting hit by the waves. the humanity of it all

sorry but choosing to live that close to the beach it should be all on the owner waste of city funds

They can get the rich areas of socal fixed in a jiffy but places like Gary Indiana where clean water is still not a thing.

I made sure to go out during high tide 2 nights ago, which was 8:53 pm, to check out several beaches. Needed to know which to definitely cross off list for any potential future move. Victoria not looking too great moving forward.

There is more to that story. Recommend you talk to the HOA for info on the fight between the state and the home owners. All these properties would be safe if the state had not stopped them from keeping that beach maintained
