Earlier today, Naija Confra reported on a series of arrests made a few days ago by the Lagos State Police Command, which included the arrest of some NBM (Aye) cultists - one case in Ajegunle and another in Ajao Estate, where about 21 NBM cultists were arrested. During our investigation into the case, we discovered that the police may have been misled by the suspects into describing the event as a birthday party. The att@ck is connected to the Enugwu-Ukwu vs Nawfia conflict previously reported by Naija Confra on September 10, 2024. That last year’s incident resulted in several de@ths, including innocent people and Ayes from Enugwu-Ukwu, and a well-known Aye named Eke Nweofia, in an att@ck linked to people from Nawfia. Nawfia is known to have a strong Vikings presence, and Vikings members are believed to be heavily involved in the dispute, which started from a land issue. Our investigation shows that some Ayes from Enugwu-Ukwu have been urging others to target crowded areas in Nawfia since that incident happened, despite the fact that there had already been previous retaliation. Last night’s att@ck, however, was carried out by Ayes from Awka, not Enugwu-Ukwu. Even Aye and Vikings sources we contacted immediately after the att@ck did not initially know who was responsible, which is why Naija Confra could not release confirmed details earlier. AUCHI, EDO: After putting out the picture of Chukwu Joshua, the young boy in police custody, Naija Confra received help from NC house members and sources on the ground. The boy was identified as Wealth, a member of Eiye (ACN). During our investigation into him, we gathered more details about what happened at Hybrid Hotel in Auchi, where the violence began after students’ sign-out. (5 videos, 3 pictures on Telgrm). Ayes said both groups were celebrating when they fir£d sh0ts into the air and one mistakenly hit Wealth’s black Mercedes Benz. They claimed no one was even in the car. Eiye dismissed this as a lie, insisting that Aye tried to k!ll them. In retaliation, Eiye used another Mercedes Benz ML 350 to run over one Aye. The car was damaged, and while some said the Aye di£d, Naija Confra cannot confirm his condition. Wealth later tried to leave town but was stopped by soldiers and handed to the Edo State Police, who were already hunting cultists involved in the clashes. The police also made more arrests. After the Hybrid Hotel violence, Eiye went on to k!ll Jafaru alias Jessy, a well-known barber. Eiye admitted responsibility for this k!ll!ng, and residents confirmed Jessy was not a cultist.
