@FirstTake @stephenasmith @Lj_era8 "The NFL made the decision to give DW that deal"? Wrong, Jimmy Haslem made that decision. The rest of the league clearly believes Haslem made a poor business decision....

@FirstTake @stephenasmith @Lj_era8 There’s no machine or agenda against Lamar. If you actually watch and think, his STYLE of play is NOT worth committing over $100M to long term. He hasn’t made an afc title game and hasn’t played a full season in two years. I’d also argue he’s only gonna get slightly worse each yr

You literally say other players have reset the market but then say “no one wants Lamar to not do a deal without an agent” How about this: Not everyone has the same skill set or the same advisors around them. It’s clear that guys like Wagner and tunsil have the skill set to be good at negotiating. It’s also possible that Lamar doesn’t have the skill set.

@FirstTake @stephenasmith @Lj_era8 Help me out here. You said guys like Richard Sherman, Bobby Wagner etc etc done it with no problem, but Lamar is having a problem because not having an agent? Do you think landing on IR the past couple seasons has anything to do with it?

@FirstTake @stephenasmith @Lj_era8 The Browns were a desperate franchise. The NFL didn’t do it. The Browns did.

@FirstTake @stephenasmith @Lj_era8 Stop trying to make this a "me against the man story". Lamar wants Watson's deal to be the new bar, the rest of the NFL considers it an outlier. Hence, no offers from other teams to meet that price AND give up two first rounders. An agent would help him understand that.

@FirstTake @stephenasmith @Lj_era8 Dude please stop! He has placed himself in this situation. Right now he would have had multiple 4 year deals over 50 million a year guaranteed. But instead he doesn’t want to pay an agent. Well ok that’s fine. Don’t blame it on the NFL Robert!

@FirstTake @stephenasmith @Lj_era8 Lamar Jackson is not getting this deal for a multitude of reasons, top 2 are… 1. He’s missed 30% of the #Ravens games the last 2 seasons. 2. Watson, Murray, and Rodgers’ deal have been bad for their organizations BAL learned from others mistakes.

@FirstTake @stephenasmith @Lj_era8 Lamar had one good year and then got figured out but now he’s not getting a deal because he’s “Raging against the machine?” What a victim mentality. Nothing to do with the back to back seasons with injuries, or less playoff wins than Dak, and Thanninghill.

@FirstTake @stephenasmith @Lj_era8 The Ravens had to develope an entire offense around Lamar.. the dude is elite in that offense.. I don't think other teams are willing to rebuild and develope an entire offense again.. on top of Lamar has been hurt the last two years.. stop making it more then it is.
