First look at Starfield Free Lanes - Cruise mode that allows you to travel in the space between planets now for the first time without having to go through a loading screen. Previously, you would be in front of a planet but not be able to travel much further to explore other planets in space. Now you can free roam space and travel to whatever planet you want to. Its worth noting that you cannot land on a planet seamlessly as you still have to open your map and select where to land.

Who remembers loading games from cassette? ... when I heard #ZXSpectrumNext could load from tape, I had to try it! and with screeching sounds, flashing borders and that awesome loading screen, JETPAC loaded just like it did in the 80s ... no "R Tape Loading error", for me ;)

🚨JUST A REMINDER!!! 🚨 To counter the YT bot, all you have to do is close the game during the loading screen only IF you see the killer bringing a Mystery Offering (Moir, Black Ward, ect). Closing the game while in the loading screen will NOT give you a DC penalty. But for now, plz report it to Dead by Daylight. Other counter: Pray that you spawn next to a chest where the bot will lightly get stuck or run to a nearby wall if you're not being targged first.

Starfield could never have seamless space travel like No Man’s Sky, the engine and game aren’t designed for it. However, I still wish they took a page out of Star Wars Outlaws and tried to make it look seamless rather than an immersion breaking black screen.

To achieve it, I used a single Niagara actor to read the screen-space velocity directly from the GBuffer and apply that to a render target by using a Grid2D interface to loop through each screen pixel. The rest is mapping, manipulating and masking that in the material :) #Shaders

Character Switching in Crimson Desert when Kliff and Damiane are nearby is so seamless and instantaneous, you don't even have to go through a loading screen. It reminds me of those early GTA 6 leaks where a dev would switch instantly between Lucia and Jason. Huge props to Pearl Abyss for getting this game mechanic right from the start
