giselle talks about the two things she checks most carefully before going on stage, her throat condition and her shoes. 🌙 when you’re dancing and singing at the same time, your throat gets super dry, and if there aren’t any breaks in between, i can’t drink water, so in those moments, i just try to find any way i can to drink water. and for shoes, first of all, heavy shoes are really difficult for me. i’m not good with heavy shoes at all, so i try to avoid them as much as possible. also, on stage, there are these lift like platforms… and between them, there are these tiny gaps, and if i’m wearing thin heels, they can get stuck in those gaps. if they get stuck, i’ll fall, right? and that would be so embarrassing. so for me, how i try to prevent situations like that is by: 1) i prefer block heels over thin heels. 2) i prefer heels that are as low as possible. i always try to look for shoes that are the most comfortable but still pretty at the same time, but honestly, it’s really hard. that’s why, no matter what outfit i’m wearing, i always think about two things first. one is shoes, and the second is pants. i think those two are the hardest things for me to find.

[Talking about self-worth and insecurities] 👨🏻‍🚀: I want everyone who has ever felt like they weren't pretty, they weren't attractive, they weren't good looking, they weren't strong enough, they had insecurities, or that they might feel like they're exploding from overthinking. And I'm not talking about one of these six, i'm talking about all of them. If you have ever had a situation where felt all six of these, I want you guys to type 1 into the chat. 👨🏻‍🚀: So, the point of that experiment wasn't to invalidate what you're feeling, because you're valid for feeling that. I think that is a common human emotion that we all have a problem we're dealing with. Our insecurities are the things that make us lash out, make us feel like we're not enough. And the thing about it, is no matter how rich you are, no matter how handsome you are, no matter how pretty you are, no matter how strong you are, no matter how great you are, no matter how intelligent you are, no matter how competent you are, there's always gonna be moments where this comes to you and I think the best thing to think in this situation is that yes i'm feeling this things, to validate yourself. You're not wrong for feeling this way. There's nothing wrong with you. Everyone feels this. 👨🏻‍🚀: But, during those times, i think it is very important to remember the moments in your life where you did feel worthy. Where you felt like you were just enough for that one person that you're talking to. Or you felt like you aced in a certain exam or you did really well in one thing. Today is exactly 10 years since my injury that ended my skate career, at the age of 24. The animation explains exactly what that night was like, and how stupid it was, but also how gnarly it was. I ended up rupturing an artery, tore ACL, LCL, PCL, MCL, and stretched out the nerve in the back of my knee that caused me to have a permanent paralyzed foot (drop foot). I can’t begin to tell you how devastating it was to have something I loved so much taken away from me in seconds. My whole life was dedicated to skateboarding and it all changed over night, because of just one stupid moment. I’ve gone through a lot of ups and downs over the past 10 years, from hating skateboarding, wanting nothing to do with it, distancing myself from my skate friends - Then years later finding myself right back to loving skating and being apart of it again in different ways than just stepping on a skateboard. All of that has just been part of my healing process. I had a meeting with Rick, Carroll, and Smyth at Girl a few years back, requesting that we do a “Last Board”. They initially didn’t agree with me, but it was something that I really wanted to do. I felt just for the healing journey that I needed that chapter of my life to come to an end. I owe those dudes everything that I have in my life, Girl was my favorite company as a kid growing up, and I am so grateful that I was able to turn pro with them at 18 years old, and end my skate career with them (technically 10 years ago). I fucking LOVE Girl Skateboards forever. I also really like the idea of the board saying “GAME OVER” because it sounds so harsh, like “Dude, you broke your leg, you lose. You’re not Pro anymore. Game over” hahaha. I also just want to thank every single person that has supported me along the way of my skate career, from my family and friends, to every single person that we met at the demos and signings around the world. I am grateful for absolutely every second of it and all of it was a dream come true. And hopefully in 10 more years someone figures out how to cure some damn nerve damage. Shit. New part dropping 2034.

Love him or hate him, President Trump is all about transparency. He's the first President who doesn't hide what he's doing. With media and social media, every step he takes is out there for everyone to see. He communicates directly and frequently, but isn't it better to know exactly what your leader is up to? He's not like those politicians who work behind closed doors. Trump's transparency lets you decide if his decisions are good or bad. Even if you're not a fan, you've got to admit, knowing what's happening is key. This could set a new standard for how leaders should act. So, why the hate when he's just giving you what you've always asked for - honesty and openness.
